I actually called twice this week, Tuesday and yesterday. On Tuesday, I had an inquiry put in to the officer and suppose to hear something back between now and Dec. 27th. Yesterday, the Tier 2 guy seems like he was so bothered by me calling but basically said he didn't see anything on my case - no approval or RFE - my case is still pending. But he did say that if I was approved or a RFE was sent out, they wouldn't be able to see it immediately until their systems updates. To be honest, I think Tier 2 is really Tier 1 taking the callback calls right now because they haven't been telling me anything different than what Tier 1 tells me. I think until the processing chart changes, the "real Tier 2" reps will not be taking calls and just letting Tier 1 handle the call backs. Based on the types of reps I've been dealing with since November, I can definitely tell a difference in who is really a Tier 1 v. a Tier 2.

So, right now, I'm just waiting for the processing chart to update and hopefully the date will be passed May 23rd so I can put in another inquiry and this way the officer sees me inquiring twice.

I spoke to a tier one this morning who told me that the chart had already updated this month on December 7th.  Thus, it wouldn't be updating on Dec 16th as many on this blog have said.  She said it wouldn't be updated again until January.  Waiting on a call back from a tier 2 right now.

Petitioner needs to create a updated one. It can say same exact as original just needs to be dated closer to interview and signed.

Not sure that it's a show stopper but also update the address from USCIS to your local US embassy @Lulu12345

Well, yeah, that's not true. It still says "As of September 30."

This is getting quite ridiculous...Have you tried contacting a congressman or ombudsman for the NVC delay?

Did you call USCIS and speak with a tier 2 to ask them if they mailed your petition yet? I'd recommend doing that if you haven't. At least you'll know if it's in transit or just sitting there :/

No idea, almost nobody has their NVC number yet so we can't really know :/ I just wish we knew wth was going on... I'd probably expect a month or more of waiting though at this rate...

I know I've been following this, wish we knew why it takes a month to send it in same country..do you know by any chance (cause at the moment for us is more important to meet again) what does petitioner need to stay for in the us that i will need for interview (i know.noa2 hard copy, what about nvc? Does he have to wait for some.hard copy from.them too or he can leave, cause we plan for him to stay now for.as long as we dont get interview date, our embassy here is very fast, just the nvc wait now..

I think someone said that you get some letter or something from NVC but not always. So it's not something consistent I suppose...If you do get a letter like that from NVC he should give it to you for the interview I think.

As for the wait...We can only guess but from what I know they're not even sent to NVC yet. For some reason approved petitions are still sitting at CSC and I do not know why.

Thanks for the info, I actually spoke with a tier 2 today, she was very helpful actually, she told me that if I do not here anything by the end of this month to call back and they can submit a request for action since it has been 7 months since my first Noa, which is according to her the length of time the visa should be approved or denied. Hopefully I will hear something soon!

I wish you a speedy approval. I'm a firm believer that most of the people are trying their best to help us and if we show them our appreciation it sure won't hurt.

Me too. My RFE was regarding the IMBRA waiver which they approved so if anyone has made mistakes in the past and finally found the love of their life...don't give up!!!

Fellow worriers:

I just called USCIS again, and asked to be transfered to a tier 2. I didn't think they'd transfer me on a Friday afternoon, but actually the call volume is very low at the moment, and it only took them 15 minutes to call me back.

The tier 2 officer I spoke with was really kind, and put me on hold to research my case. After he confirmed my details and everything he said "I can see that you called us and spoke with a tier 2 two days ago on Wednesday, December 13th. I want to apologize that you weren't update, but I can confirm that we mailed your case yesterday on Thursday, December 14th to the NVC, so it is confirmed and is on its way now"

Guys I highly recommend calling USCIS and asking them if they have at least mailed your petition. It did bring a sense of relief for me so at least I know it's on the way.

I also reached out to my congressman's office, emailed NVCresearch, and called NVC, and none of them were able to confirm things like the tier 2 did for me. Crossing our fingers for our group. Hopefully we will see some more case numbers come out next week.

i have a question folks, my case is now READY as stated on ceac site, and i do have a case # now, but do we need a hardcopy or email copy of the file stating the Case #, i dont received any email yet from the embassy? is the case # alone would be good?

Take a screen shot from the CEAC site and you can use that for the rest of your process.

i thought of that, and also i will use NVC letter on me replying on my inquiry of beyond 6 weeks processing, they include that the embassy now has my papers and they cannot answer anymore regarding my case, also they said that my case was expedited, my case was from in transit goes to Ready within the same day, i can tell because i am checking the ceac every 4 hours, now onto medical. thanks for that little info, that helps!

Now I wonder how long it'll take for NVC to get it and assign a case number.
