So I just received an email update that I got the RFE and got a notification of the change on the app seconds after the email. The email and app say that it was mailed today, Dec. 14th, not Dec. 8th as I was told on the phone. I feel that the RFE was issued by the officer on Dec. 8th but my case was just sitting until I called today and they decided to mail out the RFE today. That's our tax dollars at work 😩

Not just our tax dollars, also the higher fee we paid this year.

So I emailed NVC Research on Nov 30 for the first time. They got back to me telling me they received my email on Dec 6 and that they would look into where my petition is. Then on Dec 12 they said we contacted USCIS in regard to your petition and they said its on its way to the NVC.

Thanks. Got the email of them contacting uscis. Hopefully we both get answers soon

But if we get RFE and with NVC wait ,plus interview wait looking at another 3 months at least..My physical health got very affected by this, and doc suggested I should be admitted in hospital for a week, I collapsed the other day from not eating.I know it all sounds dramatic, but Haven't seen him in a year and only met once while we are in relationship for almost 3 years now.Not to mention all the obstacles we had to go through just to finally meet in person.I'm trying not to let my emotions get the best of me and have been very patient but think I reached my limit, after all.my health is most important

I'm really sorry to hear that and I do hope you get better and approved soon. If it's affecting your health severely then maybe it's better for you guys to see each other sooner.

I wonder, if you actually need to be hospitalized, and are, maybe that's a good case for expediting?

Perhaps it could be but at this point expedited or not they've waited nearly 7 months so I don't know of what use it'd be....

Don't think many of us left now.  We have to be some of last few in this group of May filers.

Yes, only a few of us stay waiting, lets hope we can have news today or tomorrow.

Sorry, really meant how many more of us in May group in here are left.  Saw a lot get approval yesterday so can't be too many more left without anything. I know I'm still left.

I am a May 15, I replied to the RFE on November 16th, 28 days later and Have heard nothing. and to top it off the RFE was for info I sent originally. USCIS should get their act together, totally incompetent!

Yeah, they need to be investigated.  It's why I've gone to congressman and senator.  Want them to see I've been trying and how long it's taking.

Well as you can see from what happened with Net Neutrality, with USCIS we can also cry all we want and they still won't do anything for us.

Um, when travel bans are going back and forth in the courts, and USCIS has to dig through their files to find which cases are affected, you don't think that has anything to do with why they might be holding back a shipment of files to NVC?

The travel bans have been going on for months but this is a recent development

The supreme court only just put a stay on the lower court's injunction.

I got an RFE  and replied immediately, they received my reply on November 16, here we are 27 days later and still have not heard anything. Bad enough it took 6 months to even touch my case and now I am waiting almost another month and have not heard a word. The worst part is the RFE was for info I already sent originally. USCIS is totally incompetent.

It might just be a coincidence but I talked to a tier 2 adjudicator after waiting 23 days from RFE received. I was very polite and told him I understood some of the complications they have. He didn't tell me much except my case was being reviewed but I got my approval notice the next day.

It just sucks that is our year and our month where the all the bad fluctuation have occurred..  distance, time, affects the relationship one way or the other! and once some of us were all happy about noa2 then another long wait at nvc... not fair for any of us waiting for NVC or NOA2.... so frustrating....

@Hey Jude I'd suggest you bug them and call a lot because we called 3 times the week before we got approved so maybe that had something to do with it.
