I think USCIS are independent of that...And we're legal immigrants going through the pains of this process. I actually believe that all this delay is budget related and they're lacking funds to process faster.

And the fact that they've decided to put fiance visas on the back-burner as well.

Maybe it's literally 1 dude in the mailroom stuffing the envelopes, addressing them etc. and he only does like 50 a day or something stupid.

This is ridiculous how to explain that people who filed almost two months after me got approved and I'm still waiting.206 days no rfe nothing.And inquiry said they are currently processing my case which was a month ago.Last night my fiance called USCIS and asked to talk to tier 2 the "lady" just said NO and hung up, and after checking my case status they ask for me to rate them.Can I do it with middle finger,honestly I'm so done with them.Probably whitdrawing our petition on Mon.Good luck to you guys!

I feel your pain.  I'm a May 9th Filer - 219 DAYS and not a single thing - no RFE, nothing.  Apparently, they will update the USCIS processing times over the weekend and give me a reason to call in there and actually get some answers.

So I just received an email update that I got the RFE and got a notification of the change on the app seconds after the email. The email and app say that it was mailed today, Dec. 14th, not Dec. 8th as I was told on the phone. I feel that the RFE was issued by the officer on Dec. 8th but my case was just sitting until I called today and they decided to mail out the RFE today. That's our tax dollars at work 😩

Look, I don't know your circumstances but you shouldn't let your emotions affect your decisions. You've been through most of the wait and you'll get approved. Withdrawing now is a huge waste of time, you're almost there!

Eh, they told use we got RFE on oct 14th but it didn't update until october 24th, and hard copy came on the 28th. So they might tell you one thing but it's really not like that lol

But if we get RFE and with NVC wait ,plus interview wait looking at another 3 months at least..My physical health got very affected by this,and doc suggested I should be admitted in hospital for a week, I collapsed the other day from not eating.I know it all sounds dramatic,but Haven't seen him in a year and only met once while we are in relationship for almost 3 years now.Not to mention all the obstacles we had to go through just to finally meet in person.I'm trying not to let my emotions get the best of me and have been very patient but think I reached my limit,after all.my health is most important

So I emailed NVC Research on Nov 30 for the first time. They got back to me telling me they received my email on Dec 6 and that they would look into where my petition is. Then on Dec 12 they said we contacted USCIS in regard to your petition and they said its on its way to the NVC.

Make sure your fiancé "demands" to speak with an immigration officer.

Um, when travel bans are going back and forth in the courts, and USCIS has to dig through their files to find which cases are affected, you don't think that has anything to do with why they might be holding back a shipment of files to NVC?
