Sorry, really meant how many more of us in May group in here are left.  Saw a lot get approval yesterday so can't be too many more left without anything. I know I'm still left.

This may have been answered elsewhere, but what notification will we get when NVC receives our case, issues a number and sends it to the embassy?

Some people receive an email/letter, but a lot of people have reported never receiving anything. That's why people usually call NVC to get the case number, and then once they get the case number they can track it online.

Attn people with NOA2 on or before Oct 30:

Someone very lucky with an NOA2 date of Oct 30 got their case number yesterday from NVC. I called USCIS yesterday, and my petition has not been mailed yet (NOA2 Nov 2). For those of you with NOA2s on or before the 30th, I encourage you to call today and ask if they have your case! Hopefully you can share good news with us :)

This is ridiculous...I wish we could file a complaint to someone or just something...I don't understand why they won't provide any information as to why we have to wait so long before our cases are sent to nvc

I found this article about USCIS performance, might be of interest to some:

https://www.boundless.co/blog/you-havent-read-the-2017-uscis-ombudsman-report/

" The report concludes: “Customer-reported adjudication delays, coupled with the agency’s 1.5 million case backlog, reflect that USCIS is currently unable to meet its processing time goals, and unlikely to do so in the near future.” "

...

Oh.

Hello everyone!!! My regards from Nigeria! I know I said I would stay off the site and wouldn't call USCIS while I'm gone. I couldn't resist and called them today. I called customer service and was told the usual, my case is within normal processing times. The rep offered to transfer me to a supervisor or a Tier 2 officer. I wanted to try something different and chose to speak with a supervisor since I've spoken to a T2 before. Supervisor gave me the same answer as the rep, so I called back and asked to speak with the T2. The T2 told me that I received a RFE on Dec. 8th and I should receive it today, tomorrow, or early next week. It didn't show up in the scans here or the USCIS app. No change online either. I called the house and it's not at in yet. I also have incoming USPS mail  scans emailed to me, and haven't seen it yet.

I'm not even grumpy about the RFE, I'm just glad our case was finally touched. I'll address it when I'm back from vacation.

NOA1 May 30th

RFE Dec. 8th
