i'm at 26 days now. i tried contacting NVC and they were like, we gotta wait 6 weeks for them to get it when USCIS says 2 to 4 weeks.

I see.. we haven't called up yet as have both been extremely busy with work and other things. I'm going to call tomorrow.

i wonder what the normal processing time is ..

It's really becoming a strain on us and our relationship. I have no answers for him as to why it's taking so long, absolutely none!!! I look at the USCIS case tracker and my case is the ONLY case that has not been touched - all the cases that are I-129F cases have been approved and/or RFE but mine. I call and speak to Tier 2 and other than being hung up on by them, when I call back I get the same tired answer which is I have to wait for the processing chart to change on the 16th. Well, the 16th is a Saturday, so IF it does update that I have to hope that the date is at or pas May 23rd and then I would have to wait until Monday to call in an put in an inquiry just so they can tell me I will have to wait approximately 45 days for an answer. Well, on Monday, it will be 7 months exact that I will be waiting for a NOA2 or RFE. For the amount of time this is taking just to get a yes, no or maybe answer, it will be a year if not longer for him to come here because of course, now there's a backlog with NVC.

With all of this, tension is starting to rise because we are both tired of waiting and feeling stuck. And while yes, I do want to go see my fiancé apart of me doesn't want to because I want to hold on to my vacation time for whenever it's time for him to have his interview and for him to come over here, but also because I know when I got see him, I will be returning alone and leaving him there, again with no answers, no nothing.

This is beyond draining and I have definitely lost hope. While I am extremely happy to see others move on - even if it's to wait in line at the NVC stage, you guys are at least not in limbo of knowing if an approval or RFE is going or not. But for me, I'm beyond exasperated.

Totally feel you we are at 206 days... may 25th filer. We've been waiting nearly 3 weeks for a recipt of out RFE that was only a letter of intent to marry.

It's starting to cause arguments in our relationship as we've been long distance now since april 2016 and it's draining us.

Just keep positive maybe book a holiday away together. I'm heading to the US in 3 days for christmas just to be able to have a break with him.

Just remember that day will eventually come. Stay strong

So I just got off the phone with a Tier 1 rep who I can say had to be the most helpful rep ever!! To make the long story short, after hearing my story about waiting almost 7 months and needing answers and crying on the phone, she listened, sympathized and put in 2 service tickets in for me. One of them she said will go directly to my case worker for them to give me an answer on what is happening to my case. She said that Tier 1 reps can actually do more than we know and can put in service tickets now while not waiting for the processing chart to update. She said that it's on that rep if they really want to help but because she hears the same story about the waiting every day all day she tries her best to help so that callers can get the answers they need.

So hopefully the first service ticket I will hear something in 3 to 5 days and the second one she said while the standard verbiage is 30 days, I should hear from my case worker before next Friday the latest.

Praying this works out in my favor!

Amazing news I'm going to get my fiancé to ring and state this. Fingers crossed for you

Just a little bit of levity for all of you. Getting a Tier 2 callback, my caller ID lists USCIS phone number as "Scam Likely."

How long did it take to get a call back? I was positioned to get a callback from tier 2 and wanted to know what the expectancy was

They usually tell you how long. The automated thing said 25 minutes. It was about 35 minutes.

I'm thinking of you girl. I know how tough it is and how waiting can strain the relationship. We've been arguing more too until i got the letter. I haven't seen him for more than a year (oct 2016) and I'm impatience while he's calm (god that's irritating) I'm in the same boat with visiting him too. I'm saving up money and vacation time for our wedding.

All i can say is hang in there. I know you'll be getting yours soon! ❤
