Just printed out the form I need to send to my congressman... I'm going to call the office tomorrow and see if I can just drop it off in person. It's actually less than 5 minutes walking from where I live, but I think they probably have security so I'm not sure if I can just drop in or not. Either way I decided to just go ahead and submit this to my congressman and see if they can help at all. I'm soooo done with this wait you guys. It's making me nuts.

Should be ok to deliver by hand. I would’ve thought that as they represent you, you should be able to. May be worth you requesting a confirmation receipt slip of some sort for your records, when you hand deliver?

I hope so, but all the buildings in my neighborhood of Boston usually require ID badges. I forgot my ID going to the doctor today, and the building guard almost didn't let me in! Luckily I had a photo of my passport, but the buildings around here are fairly strict. But hopefully if I say I'm going to the congressman's office they will let me in?

Hmm. If I could scape the data displayed in the K1 Visa Timelines section of this site, I could maybe work out a monthly average from NOA2->NVC, by NOA2 Date. I can only see 10 rows at a time in that section, so it would take a long time to copy and paste into a spreadsheet all data from 2012-2015.

@Naes @Shoegum @vocaledge - do you have any ideas on how to pull this data in one hit?

Wow other than manual I don't know.

send me the link to that data, let me see if I can do anything.

It's just the data from people's timelines on VJ. I've kind of gotten a sense for the trends after reading through old threads, but I haven't gotten a full sense of how the bottle neck works. I see different periods of time where it takes 2-3 months for NVC to receive it, and sometimes where it literally takes a week.

We just want to chart this data, maybe for the last 5 years or so, and see if we can identify any trends. All the data would come from the timelines listed here on VJ.

Oh I got that but I'm on work so without computer it's harder to find for me :)

hmm mm a question though, you know that graph vj shows for NVC waiting times, is there a way to check backdated?

That would literally show us what we want no?

Here's the link: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=&op1=&op2=&op3=1&op4=1&op5=&op6=All

Hmm so that graph is really inaccurate I think. Right now it says "NOA2 dates of roughly Nov. 14th are being received by NVC" but we all know that's not true LOL. I WISH that were true :(

So I think it might be more accurate to get it from timelines, but it would be a long painful process unless someone can scrape the data.

That's also weird, it suppose to be with our timelines.

is there anyone in the timelines that put nvc? After October I mean

thank you for the link btw, I'll be checking to see if I can find something.

Yeah guys I'm looking but it doesn't look as easy, each personal section is tabled. At least not with the tools I have.

and because not everyone updates correctly I think the best would be to go around the topics this occurred and check that months specific personal entries.

I don’t know, but as it’s only 5 mins walk away it’s worth a try. Take your photo ID which has your local address on. GL
