I am led to believe its my case in particular, i have seen other cases from Colombia that did receive NVC. Now the only difference is like i said before she had a J1 and was not subject to the 2 year waiting period. Also when she was here in the states she had a Social Security number as well. Not that it makes a difference, but just pointing out some of the differences i am now just beginning to notice

Have you tried asking in you regional section? They may be of more help since they will know how your consulate works more.

Amazing how the first ones grouped are all approved and the last ones grouped all got RFE.  I really find that odd.

Hi @heartinKorea. Thanks for sharing all that you’ve found on the delay with NOA2->NVC. Have you found any timelines in how long it has taken them to resolve their delays when this has happened in the past? ie is it just a blip or does it take them a few months to get back to the 2-3 week received timings?

Does anyone know anything about how to get an extension for an approved NOA2?  it is starting to look like I will most likely need to get an extension due to the trump travel ban going into effect. I am basically at the mercy of the the supreme court for when they hear the case, which I fear will be well after my February 23rd expiration date.

On a separate note, it has been 45 days since my approval and NVC still says it has not been received yet.

@Joel Schmidt got a new approval date due to NOA2->NVC delays. He maybe able to advise.

@RioMica @Trinab80 @TexanSoutherner I think we are all in the same boat. Over 200 days with no approval, RFE or anything. If that wasn't bad enough now we're looking at a long NVC wait. Some ppl are being told 90 days at NVC... 7 months at USCIS and then 3 months at NVC SMH this is ridiculous

Soon we will receive ours. I can feel it. It will be approved and in few days time we will be with our Fiances. @Meech @Trinab80 @TexanSoutherner.  I know 2018 is our year. ^_^

Has anyone reached out to their congressman about the NOA2 --> NVC delay?

Yeah. I asked my congressman's office to look into the USCIS delay and now they are checking again re: the delay getting the approved petition to NVC.

Hmm I haven't gone that deep to figure out exactly how long it takes them to resolve it, but it does seem to go in waves unfortunately. Between 2012-2015 at least I've seen a lot of periods where it took 2-3 months for the petition to reach NVC. If someone has the time/energy, it might be helpful to create a historical chart to see if there's any pattern.

Hmm. If I could scape the data displayed in the K1 Visa Timelines section of this site, I could maybe work out a monthly average from NOA2->NVC, by NOA2 Date. I can only see 10 rows at a time in that section, so it would take a long time to copy and paste into a spreadsheet all data from 2012-2015.

@Naes @Shoegum @vocaledge - do you have any ideas on how to pull this data in one hit?
