I was hoping that would be the case with everyone that got approved later but...I don't know, has NVC ever been this slow before?

I’m not sure. I do hope the list Soegum has started for us will give us an idea over the next month or so about what is happening at NVC.

My personal thoughts are that it’s USCIS who may not send approvals to NVC straightaway or perhaps approvals may not be scanned daily at NVC but maybe weekly or bi weekly?

I have no idea anymore, but I just don't understand how there haven't been any NVC received cases for people who got approved in November? I haven't seen any in VJ. It's just too weird...

Personally in our NOA2 it stated that our petition has been sent to the NVC but NVC told us in an email that they don't have a record of receiving our case.

All NOA2 will likely state that your approval has been sent to NVC but it’s anyones guess as to when it actually hits the post.

Hang in there. I just got my Noa2 so I’m still in shock/excitement over that.

I imagine I’ll be getting very antsy in 3 weeks if I haven’t heard anything.

im confused. So my fiance ended up calling the embassy in Bogota and they stated she needs to go to travel.state.gov and set a date for an interview. But i honestly dont think the person that was helping her knew that much, as they insisted to go there without any to little information given by the person whom she spoke with

We have paid for our DS160 and got a Deposit Slip form. We are now trying to book an appointment for the Interview on their website. However, it requires a "Receipt Number."
Does anyone know what this "Receipt Number" is?

No NVC number.

But look what was stated in the back of the NOA2

It could be that the embassy in Bogotá works different :/ here in Spain we don't receive that letter. We just wait for the NVC number and then we schedule the interview.

I am led to believe its my case in particular, i have seen other cases from Colombia that did receive NVC. Now the only difference is like i said before she had a J1 and was not subject to the 2 year waiting period. Also when she was here in the states she had a Social Security number as well. Not that it makes a difference, but just pointing out some of the differences i am now just beginning to notice

Has anyone called the NRC to see if their case was sent there by mistake?

I read something about many cases being sent here during a mix up a couple years ago.

just a thought.
