You get an alien registration number once your petition was approved by USCIS. That number is significant to you because you will be identified with that until you get your SSN#.

Thank u. I want to know if every NOA2 says the same thing about to wait 30 days until a response and that if they don't answer in that time you can write an email.

 

Im confused since they are taking at least 45 days or more.

Yes, every letter is gonna say that. The letter is a template so all they do is just fill in the names and information pertaining to that person or persons but everything else is standard. They're not gonna give an exact timeframe because they don't know the exact timeframe. Can be longer, can be shorter.

Mines says the same thing and my approved date was 10/26. I've just emailed them.

As fate would have it, our Noa2 was approved yesterday, the same day I landed in my fiance's resident country to visit for 2 weeks! Haha. Such a blessing to get the news while we're together-- now we can relax and enjoy our time together a little more. The status has not updated on the website our the app yet and I will update the RFE master list when I have access to a real computer. I will say an extra prayer tonight for those still waiting for NOA2--I know the process is fatiguing but your approval will come in due time! Stay positive and God bless!

RFE: October 20

RFE acknowledgement: November 1st

Noa2: December 4th

No you didn't miss it, I'm still waiting. 

 

I didn't understand that clearly. After you get approved, call NVC and refer to what number for them to look you up? WAC number or Alien number?

You should first give them your WAC# because that's what they are gonna ask for first. Because the alien # is specific to the beneficiary, you don't want to give them that first because at times if the beneficiary has previously applied for any other type of visa, the alien # will be listed on file already.

 

The alien # is beneficiary's identification number until they get their SSN#.
