Congratulations.

Although i see that this  Approval notice has NVC language all over it.

Mines however did not.

Still confused on how the real process is after NOA2.

The only difference i see that yours was processed in Texas, but i dont think that would matter as some processes were from California  and weren't any different.

But Congrats again. im sure you very excited as much as the rest of us when we receive the approvals :)

one thing I wonder about is ... does it actually help to call NVC? Like do they process the application faster, what is the point of calling them and getting the NVC number if we can't do anything without an NVC letter?

I am wondering if anyone here had a visa prior to filing for K1. I am asking because the difference with my case is that my fiance had a J1 visa (under an au pair program)  while here in the US, so i suspect that having a prior visa will eliminate petition going to NVC. Anyone have information about this or have a similar case?

You can do lots without the NVC letter.

like for medical exam and interview you just need the number you don't need a letter.

I had a J1 as well. My NOA2 says the petition is being sent to NVC. I think they just have different templates for the NOA2 from different times and use both as they please... I don't think it makes a difference.

Probably depends on the embassy. I can't do anything without packet 4 (not even packet 3!!) as I need my interview appointment scheduled before I can even schedule the medical... Or at least that's what the website of my embassy says...

Hmm sorry yes actually depends on embassies. In japan all I need is the number.

edit: I also realized though I would still call cause I'm an anxious person so I would call to know what's going on...

24 days since they received my reply for the RFE  they sent me, and still no word! Totally ridiculous especially that the RFE was for info I already sent. Proof of meeting in person. USCIS  is totally incompetent. If anyone has any idea what the delay could be, I would love here it. Thanks VJ family

We are waiting almost 2 weeks...I just checked the RFE list, some vj members got approved who got reply from USCIS around same day as us...I understand your feeling and I am worring about our process too.:crying:
