I-129F MAY FILERS PART 2

Guys, POE at Fort Lauderdale was VERY smooth. The lady asked for the sealed package when she saw my k1 visa and took me to a room. I waited there for 5-7 minutes and she returned with my passport and I was good to go. Literally ZERO questions!

 

now waiting for my next flight to Pittsburgh to be with my love ❤️

All that yelling I did here on Monday must have done some good because I FINALLY received our approval today, day 203.

 

The apps are not showing any change for me, they still show received, but I have the noa2 in hand, dated 12-4 (my bday). My informed delivery message wouldn't load all day, and finally loaded around 3:30pmEST. Couldn't wait to get home, skype with my honey, and open the letter.

 

On to the next wait at NVC. I won't pretend that the wait at NVC doesn't concern me in the same way the delays for noa2 did, but at least I know we are moving in the right direction. Hopefully this means that some of you who also haven't gotten any updates on the app/in the scan DO have an noa2 coming your way very very soon! Check your mailboxes!

How May filers, Junie here. Forgive me if I'm telling you information you already know, but I spoke to a tier 2 who told me 'I think uscis sends approvals to nvc once a month, that's why some people wait a few days and others a few weeks. That's my understanding but I'm not sure.' I don't know if this is common knowledge or even correct but thought I'd share.

i wish that was true! there are some people waiting over a month, like 40 days, so it can't be once a month or else they wouldn't still be waiting!

Maybe they are sent and take time to get a number, I've no idea. Just relaying what she told me

The site also says to file I-864 affidavit of support but then the checklist shows I-134. Which one did you file? 

 

 

It's because that is for not fiancé and spouse visas. So yes they are using the same list for too  

 

If youre applying to cr1 they want your marriage certificate and I-864.

 

it happens in some embassies.

I think he is correct hey are asking why you intend to reside at a different address than where he the petitioner lives. 

 

However if you wanted to add additional proof of the relationship now is the time .

I think you made the right decision; there are 2 parts that I see in the RFE:  one requesting more evidence and one asking for an explanation of why you two would be living at different addresses.  Either way, extra evidence can't hurt.

I called them today - approval date is November 1. Same old story - wait for 6 weeks and then call us again. When will it finish???
