It's bad that 2017 and 2016 tax timing is right now...

theyll just wait for the documents so theres there's no problem with the case. No worries

But technically 2017 tax documents aren't due to April so it seems not OK for them to require them...

It's the most recent tax as it says in the website. And it is already taxable. So they expect you to have it already. A deadline is not really important in these cases if you ask me. That's why I made my sponsors already file them.

i don't know if it's a japan thing though.

@Mysstownsemd @D. Henry please see my post from yesterday. It has the two documents you will need from the embassy including the medical and all of the list of documents you will need to bring with you to your interview. One of you mentioned that you have an attorney so I will tell you attorney to email on your behalf to get official confirmation letter. There are a number of documents you have to gather for the interview so please pay attention the list on th form letter from the embassy.

You have to go to the justice ministry. I am not sure where you are from but you have to have your father's name from parish of your birth, passport, and birth certificate and present to the ministry to fill out the application. It takes 7-21 days to receive the paperwork and it cost a fee of 5,000 to 10,000 Jamaican dollars. If you look at my post from earlier I am pretty sure I some info listed there. Call your local justice ministry and they will tell you exactly what you need to bring.

That's why its so frustrating it does say ready. "Your  case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate..."  But we haven't received any packages or appointment letter. I'm getting really anxious and nervous that we're going to miss a deadline.

You have to check online documents you need for Jamaica embassy, you can book interview , if your noa2 will expire March 23,or 29th, take the interview for March 22 , if it's march 29th you can book for March 27, if you know your case number you can fill ds160, and the interview date , other thing don't worry much for your noa2 ,cause for k1 process it's automatically renewed, just you have to say the consult wy you could not be present in the interview at the right time . And I saw something working for me ,I don't know if it's will work for you, as soon you book your interview ,they will give you instructions in the confirmation  page  for what do you have to bring in your interview, I didn't receive package 3 cause Dominican republic they don't give package 3 ,. And other things you have to do your medical test two weeks before interview, so I think it's good idea you book your interview the time you waiting package 3 if they send in Jamaica

i don't know if it's a japan thing though.

think it depends on each couple's financial status so just FYI but as of Feb 5th at the interview, I submitted:

1)copy of my fiancé's 2016 federal income taxes

2)W-2s

3)letter from my fiancé's firm by his firm's letter head with head of HR

for the supporting document for affidavit of support (I-134).

Our immigration attorney said it might be nice to have 2017 taxes but my fiancé didn't have yet so I didn't bring but still passed the interview.

I strongly hope my VJ friends @Minori and @watahana87 gets visa soon after submitting additional info!! It might be nice for you to call Embassy call center to hurry up the process...

Hi @Naes,

You'll definitely need English translation for 戸籍謄本 as well as the Japanese copy. I submitted for I-129F timing as well adviced by our immigration attorney.

FYI - This is the translation vendor I used but they have express translation service too so felt handy.

Plus, this vendor provide you 翻訳証明書(Certificate of Translation)so more credibility I guess you can show USCIS and Embassy.
