CSC received my RFE materials that my lawyer sent back to them on January 27th and I’m still waiting for a response. They asked for more proof that we met in person before we applied. I had to send back hotel receipts, airline receipts and a affidavit from a friend that he was with me when I meet my fiancé in person while in the Philippines 🇵🇭. I didn’t have any pictures the first lime we met. Since then I have returned to the Philippines 🇵🇭 3 more times In the past year to spend time with my fiancé .  I’m very worried that I might get denied over not having pictures of us together the first time we met 😢 I didn’t know I would fall in love 😍 and even think about getting married at the time. I knew nothing about the immigration process 😢 I’m in the Philippines 🇵🇭 now and will return home to the USA 🇺🇸 in a few days to check my mail. My case status hasn’t changed online yet 😢  I check it daily.

Today makes exactly 9 months of waiting (270 days) and still no NOA2 or RFE. Only 3 months away from a year of filing our petition and I see no hope of hearing anything any time soon.

Congratulations to all those moving further in the process!! Wish you all the best!

@Trinab80, I know this process can be so discouraging. Please do not lose hope--I'm praying for and thinking of you and Reni every day. You have been so positive and supportive to so many others on this forum and have provided a wealth of information- - the good you do everyday is coming back to you X1000. Stay positive - keep the hope - - when you don't feel so positive or hopeful we are here. But your day is coming--I know it! I am claiming this for you and the rest of the May and June filers still waiting. @TeeSam and @Trinab80 you guys are officially May team -STILL STANDING!! Hugs.

Support you @ Ish Tre.@Trinab80, though it tarries surely it will come.  God for sure will compensate you for the wait. All things work out together for good for those you trust in the Lord. Hold on tight and look unto the Lord. Noa2 is on the way soonest.God bless.

I will definitely keep that in mind because when he gets here we have plans to travel everywhere and anywhere...never been to Seattle and always open to going somewhere new and trying different things.

The last time I got some type of answer from a Tier 2 rep, they said that my case was assigned to an officer on 2/5/2018, but they also said that it was put in queue on 1/12/2018 and gonna only another 2 weeks tops. I just saw on the USCIS that my last of many inquiries has been responded to and completed which can only mean that the response letter that I'll be getting in the mail in a few days will say the same thing my last inquiry said which is they cannot provide a timeframe on when my case will be reviewed. I've contact all State Senators, congressional representatives and the Ombudsman office - no response back from them either!

The only thing left to do is to withdraw the petition which at this point would make no sense but trust me it has crossed my mind a few times. I can honestly say that there's a part of me that is jealous and a bit envious of everyone here that have surpassed us to the point where this forum will be obsolete because you all will be going into the AOS Forum pretty soon if not already. But I am still happy for everyone here whose leg of this journey is over!!!

So I guess the only thing I can do is stop thinking about it and let things be and if it comes then great but if not, then the days will be no different than the days of the past.

I know the feeling May 17 filing and finally a surprise NOA2 February 8. I have no idea what could be taking so long, they did give me the stuck in Security Backgeound Check but otherwise the same standard replies. I’m staying with you. I know the stress and frustration with this long 9 month wait I was just a few days shy. Don’t withdraw, make them give you what you paid for, they have to do something soon. ❤️

Not much from what I've read.  Depends how busy they are but most say a few questions at most and some say just ask when getting married or just good luck.  Haven't heard anyone really interrogated.

On my turn, I got to the officer and said: good morning, k1 visa

lol

she said: come with me.

Took my envelope to the little room that everybody talls about. I sit there and waited about 5 - 10 minutes. She came back and said: welcome to the us, your shoes are cute btw

LOL

It was it. Not even one question. That was in fort lauderdale - Florida!

Hi all,

I've been reading back thru and I'm not sure if anyone has a thought. My NOA2 came in and then I got my case number. On Feb 9 my NVC case changed to say "Ready" so I sent my documents off to the Montreal Consulate even though I haven't received a Packet 3 letter. They replied:

Quote

Please be advised that your fiancé (e) visa application is being processed in our office, and upon completion, we will contact you accordingly.

In the meantime, carefully note that you are not required to send your Packet 3 documents, and also not eligible to book an appointment online until you receive further instructions.

Now I see my case was updated at NVC on Feb 15, but I still haven't received a Packet 3. Do I send my materials again, or do I wait for the letter? If there's a better forum for this, please let me know. Thanks so much.

Wait until they send you Packet 3. Then send that off, and soon afterwards, you will receive Packet 4 and can proceed.

Good luck!  :)

PS: Would you please consider kindly filling out your timeline? It's very helpful for data aggregation purposes plus all our fellow filers. Thanks! :)

So I am really confused and lost with what just happened.  We got our NOA2 and we got the NVC status at ready.  So I am still waiting on the word on packet 3 when she received it.  But now my USCIS case is asking for an RFE. I am just so tired of this craziness.  Is there any clue to what of might just happened?
