Thank you!

They were required the passport style photo of my fiance (PETITIONER)

You will get an answer soon, or maybe just the Hard copy of your approval in your mail box as our friend JohnAna, his ref was received January 16th too and the case status didnt update, he just received his hard copy this week.

So, keep strong and good luck!

Thank you!!! I’m hoping for the best here... will keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏽

@K+D, @hectorkhuon, @Shoegum, @Naes, @The Squirrel

Our Visa was APPROVED!!!

Now I am scheduled to fly back to the US on 2/17/18. The Consulate told us to pick up our visa on 2/16/18. The Blue Note the consulate give you states NOT to book flights until after you get the visa. I need advise on what to do. Should I book Kunthea's ticket anyway in anticipation of the Visa? If I wait, you know the price will skyrocket and the availability of a flight with me becomes very limited if not non-existent. What do ya'll think?

Hmm I can't say for sure for tickets.....I wouldn't want you to also waste money... you know just in case... printer may not work or something! Just in case..

i believe in Murphy's law lately!

Yeah I think maybe I was the oldest case left. But when I was like Im over it, Im not checking the status, I got an like 3 texts saying your case has updated. I didn’t even want to check because I was afraid after all this time to get an RFE, but I clicked and boom Case Was Approved. It was was like waking up from a nightmare, almost 9 months for a NOA2, with obviously no issues, just disheartening to have waited so long with no RFE, no issues.

@Naes

More Japan info! :)

Fiance had his medical on Friday of last week, same day as @Minori, at Seibo Hospital. The whole process was really smooth and the entire thing only cost 26,000 yen.

It was 15,000 for the checkup, 5,000 for his vaccines (I think he needed two), and 4,000 for the flu shot since he hadn't taken it. With tax, it totaled to 26,000!

We were prepared for it to cost a lot more, so that was nice.

It took about 2~2 1/2 hours to complete the whole thing,  but they asked him to stay in the hospital for the whole three hours. He was there from 8 am to 11 am.

Since our interview date is on the 26th of February, he opted to have the results sent to his home instead of going to pick them up.

We also got our packet in the mail right before the medical, which was lucky, even if we didn't need it. Apparently we forgot to update our old address where we were living, so it took a little bit for the mail to be redirected to his current house. Woops. :P  With that goof-up, it took 8 days for the packet to be mailed to us from the NVC tracker saying "Ready".

Hope that helps!

Great review!!

It was really smooth,  it costed us like $500 for me and son!!

Some men were there yesterday, maybe I could see him 26th interview day!!

Just cant wait for the result to send us soon before interview!!

Are you in the US?

Yes my case updated online and I got a text and email. I got it on yesterday the 9th but it says it was approved done February 8th.

Awesome...the only reason I asked is because I didn't see your notification come  through on the app tracker.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

You have nothing to be nervous about (I know easier said that done) but I'm sure the interview will be fine! Are you guys going to the interview together?

I hope to get our approval soon too!!! Trying to remain in a positive state of mind which can be hard to do but I know that it will come (eventually). The plus side of things is that the NVC process seems to be moving faster now - only close to how it use to be so I'm hoping that once we get our approval that we can zoom through that wait; although, after waiting almost 9 months (7 days away from that happening), the waiting time for the NVC portion is a breeze!

Hi! 🙏🙏🙏 for you to get your approval soon!!!

We got our December, 6, but we seem to be stuck on every stage to the maximum too😳 First our case travelled from USCIS to NVC 6 weeks, then we waited 2 weeks to send an inquiry why it hadn't got the number, and now as it did is spent another week at NVC 😑 and no one can tell us why though we see cases 3-5 days in/out NVC.

All my life I've been trying to act fast and do maximum in minimum time 😁 Life's teaching me a lesson

CONGRATULATIONS!!! So happy for you. The rest of the process will seem too fast to keep up with in comparison to that ridiculously long wait. I know that @TeeSam and @Trinab80 are coming soon ---can't wait to hear the news. Enjoy this moment.

I have a questions about the I-134 form:

When should I fill it out? Should I wait until my fiance gets closer to interview? Or do it now? I'm asking because I'll provide bank info. I don't want the info to be too old if I get it now.

Also, of the 3 options. Can I just do my bank only, or do I need to get more than one?

Thanks

Usually they say once letter is received from NVC.  Funds shouldn't change too much.

The more the better.  Unless you have high pay well above poverty and W2 shows it.  They just wanna know fiance won't be burden.
