@Naes,

Good question - Both my fiancé in US or our immigration attorney have not received any letter from NVC after the status got ready.

Our immigration attorney saying me she supposed to get that from NVC and frustrated that she didn't get it for my case...

So should be other case that fiancé or attorney gets that but our case still nothing till yesterday...

Thank you

really having friends going over these with me relaxed me so much!

Btw I just called Kanagawa police and they said I can use any paper that I have case number on so I'll try it with noa1. Because Kanagawa said they'll give it to me in a week!

Nice! - You can get Police certification by NOA1 too huh? That is a great information sharing and Kanagawa seems to be service oriented than Tokyo to give you the certification in a week:-)

I used to live in Hodogaya, Yokohama for 9 years from high school, university till 2nd year of my work too! Loved living there!

You're kidding! I'm living in hodogaya!! It is so sad to move back to Tokyo!!  Love Kanagawa services it's way better!

i asked them saying I have 3 different type of document all has case numbers and my name and birthday, and if it would make a difference they said any is ok. Because I heard in another topic that people who apply from overseas uses noa1 because it takes months to get the clearance.

hodogaya is so random 😂

No ask away, :) I dont mind. I wrote a mini review on my timeline you can check it out. 😊

My visa is already on its way to me! They said in a week i would get it but i think it could be sooner. I stayed at siesta Sydney hotel only because it was about 12 mins from the consulate. The hotel was decent for 1 night. I went with my brother so we got 1 room with 2 beds and a shared kitchen and bathroom with other people. Its totally worth it if youre staying for the night :) There was only 1 other couple sharing with us and i only saw them once. I think i was asked 5-6 questions. Super easy ones basically about us. :) How did you meet him? and how long have u been together? when was the last time you saw him? has he been to AUS? have you been married before? do you have any children?  thats all, and then he said ok your visa is approved. 😊💕

Thanks for reply !

just hope it all goes well for me when I get my chance for an interview !

good luck with the next part of your journey, how exciting 😀

guys question, if i pay the visa fee, will I use the invoice number that they give?

Hiya!

I was confused about the invoice number when I got that along with my case number as I'd not read about it before.

I haven't done the DS160 myself yet, but it seems like case number is all we need for K1. Invoice number is for other visa's that we apparently just get as well...? From my understanding based on reading the below posts is that we pay our visa fees directly to the embassy/consulate and thus do not need an invoice number.

See both of these:

Visa  approved yesterday!!! Said i will receive my passport back next week  Wednesday!  Interview was around 25 min with so much questions. Been shortly interviewed by a man first (3min max) then a lady. The lady said its bc they are trying to push ppl to go for the  k3 instead.  Im guessing the situation in the states is the reason why...

Anyway now the long wait is almost over for all of us so we can finally get married!!!!  For those still waiting for NOA2 or NVC ,  We pray u receive it very soon!  Keep praying cause God is Merciful and Powerful. :)

do you mean the fee can be paid online when you submit DS-160 form?

DS-160 and the visa fee are separate. You need both to schedule the interview, but one does not depend on another; it does not matter which one you do first.

The fee needs to be paid at the bank in-person. It cannot be paid online or through an ATM; at least not if you do not have an account with that particular bank already. You cannot pay through another bank ether. It has to be specific bank and specific currency. The rates are only good for a few days, there is an expiration date on the payment form.

I don't understand.  What would be the advantage of K-3 over K-1?

Technically, the K-3 is obsolete, and it's now the CR-1. And if I had to guess, the advantage would be that it would be your spouse you're bringing over and not just your fiance. For now (even though it's not by much) the K-1 visa still takes less time than the CR-1 visa, in any case.
