Kanagawa one literally wrote "フィアンセヴィザ" under theirs 😁 And it takes 1 week only!

but because I'll move I think getting from new address a more recent one is better?

I'll call them to ask tomorrow if I can get it there, it says as lon as I register it's ok. So I believe it should be ok

Hi @Naes,

It might be useful but here is the guidance from the American Embassy in Tokyo on what do you need to submit on K-1 visa Police certification. Looks like they care more about country level not that much of prefecture level but you may want to also call Embassy's call center and confirm?

K-1 visa check list (US Embassy in Tokyo)

Apparently it did. Me and @Maria1989 both got an email back stating they would be delayed. We got the email a week ago.

I tried to put in another inquiry with USCIS but I have to wait 30 days from my last inquiry response  which was January 10th. I call USCIS once a week now especially since the processing chart updated this week saying they're processing cases as of June 27th. The only thing I'm told is my case is at the final stage of this process and should be reviewed very soon.

Now, I'm waiting on my Senator to help although I'm not holding my breath with that!!!

Exact same thing here, expect they say Im

waiting on my Fiancé Security Background Checks, he has a pretty common name

for The Gambia, plus he Muslim. Ugh I’m so over it. It’s ridiculous some May filers are in the US and we have heard a word. Not to say that I’m not happy for everyone I just would like to move forward as well.

@Trinab80remember I said we would be holding hands, who ever thought it would be 8 months later 😩

Almost 9 months later. But at least they gave you a reason for your delay. If they told me that it could make the waiting a little easier to deal with believe it or not.

Morning all,

My question is which steps do I take next? I know we complete the DS-160 and then what. I put the case number in the tracker but the below pop up came up. Plus it said to follow the "6 steps." I read somewhere you don't complete the 6 steps. So what I do after the DS-160 is completed and saved?

I guess that's a good thing.  Doesn't help with my depression or feeling like all this waiting is setting me up for a denial at this point. 15 more days of waiting and it will be 9 months since we mailed our petition in. I'm closing in on a year and I have received nothing!!! I would be so happy with a RFE right now because at least I would only be waiting 2-3 more weeks after responding back.

I'm really really happy to see that almost everyone in my filing group is done or almost done with this process but it makes me sink deeper in my hole because Reni and I are stuck. March 4th will be our 2 year anniversary and I'm confident that I will still be waiting, fighting to get him here.

Just starting to think that our outcome will not be a happy one!!!

I am claiming a happy outcome for you two. Your process to date has been so ridiculous. But it will not break the love and strong bond you have with Reni. That's what is most important. As I said you two are always in my thoughts and prayers. I want so badly for you to hear something soon. I am following both you and @Maria1989, and am looking forward to the day you get your NOA 2. Stay strong. Yes you are almost the last in your filing group to hear something but---they do save the best for last.

You can submit the DS-160 as soon as it is ready status, then make payment to the bank that they say, after you have made the payment and it has been posted to their account make embassy appointment. Sorry I just saw your question, it may have already been answered. But really you need to schedule that medical first. It will determine the date you need to schedule the Embassy appointment. Embassy is about 2 or 3 days waiting, Medical may be a week out or longer for appointment. With children longer for some reason.

thank you!!!

Congratulations! when you came to the POE did you use the citizen line or visitor line? did they ask any questions? please advise.

Thanks!  We used the line for Visa holders and asked if I could accompany my fiancee in that line (they said, "of course!").  There really were no questions at all except where we were coming from... in our case, Thailand and Hong Kong.  A fingerprint scan on a small device and an electronic photo of my fiancee and we were on our way... a contributing factor to the lack of questions could be that there were a lot of people waiting with various Visas and limited immigration officers on duty at that late hour (~9:00 PM).  I hope that helps.  :)

Did you already contact your Congressional Rep? I had a much faster response from them. I never even got a response from my Senator until after our case reached the embassy.

I can't believe you're going through all of this still. It's beyond ridiculous and frustrating. You're still in my prayers. I'm mostly coming back on this board these days to make sure I'm here to celebrate with you when you FINALLY get approved! (And you will.)
