That's quite long but maybe they took a while to enter it into the system at the embassy? I've heard it takes about a week from "At NVC" to "Ready"

Yup... I called NVC to confirm that it was sent electronically and they confirmed it was sent and received on January 8th.  NVC suggested I emailed the embassy to remind them to check their email inbox.  We finally got a status change to "Ready" today.

So at what point we have to pay for the visa fee? and can I schedule medicals with case # at NVC? or should i wait for official communication from the Embassy??

I need to coordinate the interview so I can be there... any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I'm waiting for the embassy to mail me packet 4 with instructions before I try to pay and schedule my interview (They say to wait on their website) But I think at this point it's embassy specific so you should check your embassy website and see what it says about fees and interview.

Hey are you the beneficiary ? First of all you need form I134 and it has To be from the us petitioner. If he doesn't meet the income requirements you need one of a co sponsor as well

its important that the form has the original signature on it

NOA 2 Dec 6 ( on letter) Dec 7 on app notification

NVC Receive 1/18

As of 1/24 still no case number but the guy on the phone said I should have it by Friday most likely.

I checked the google spreadsheet and it shows many people got their case number same day. Is that correct or did many people just not update? Just trying to get average number of days it takes to get NVC number. I know for some it legit to took same day or 2-3 days which is amazing. However, not sure if the actual average is 2 weeks like NVC told me.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

I think it depends on the country. Seems like countries that do the fully electronic cases (seems like Canada and Brazil) are taking almost 2 weeks to generate the number.

Thank you! This was very helpful. Looks like my timeline is behind yours by a week in terms of received date. Good Luck on the rest of your journey!

Is it ok if I ask when you scheduled your interview for? I heard interviews were available about 3 weeks out in Montreal.
