I think it might be an error unless the case is expedited. They didn't enter an NOA2 date.. just a NOA1 date in Sept. The timeline doesn't really make sense.

Most likely. New member so they’ve probably not found their way around this site yet. Back to last NOA2 10/26, it is then.

Ive not really looked into the historical timelines to see if there’s any kind of ebb and flow with any ‘NVC received’ delays, but surely UCSIS don’t wait for a full truckload of cases to send to the NVC??

My thoughts are they’re either prioritising other visa categories again or they’re doing extra, extra background checks during this phase. The delay is making no sense to me. I wish it was all a little more transparent.

I don't know, I've spoken to two people at NVC who said USCIS waits until they have "a critical mass" or "a few thousand cases" before they send them to NVC.

I'm impressed you actually got information out of the reps. I've definitely asked things like that about how often they send the cases, and everyone I've asked has said they don't know.

Thanks for chiming in. What is the "received" date of your case? Not NOA1 date.

@mrssurman what is your received date, not NOA1?

Sorry, received is 5/19. I think my NOA1 was also dated the same, but I lost the physical paper in my move in September.

@Shoegum I think I accidentally messed up the NOA2 to NVC tracker! I was trying to sort the ones that have been received by date, but for some reason it messed it up and wouldn't let me use the "undo" button. If you go back in the version history, I book marked the version that you can restore- It won't let me restore it since I am not the document owner, but you should be able to. Sorry!! :( I was trying to see if there's an ebb and flow to dates.. like if they've seen a long gap in between receiving petitions. Anyway should be an easy fix but sorry about that!

Oh God... I think someone posted this thread earlier, but I didn't dig too deeply at the time... for those waiting between NOA2 and NVC received check this thread out:

If you check the timelines of the people who were posting back in 2014, a lot of them waited 3-4 months for it to reach NVC... literally what in the world.

Almost 3 months: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=193441

3 months: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=193297

Just shy of 4 months: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=188518

The only comforting part about finding this is that all of these people were eventually approved, as we will be also. But it'd be really nice to know if we are about to experience similar wait times as these people did, or if we are just a few days away. It's really the uncertainty of WHEN all of this will happen that makes all of us crazy.
