Being 15 hours, that is a long flight. I think Philippine Airlines is the only one that does it non-stop.

She could have seen some ads that do not mention that a stop is involved. I personally do not mind connections, but I could see how a novice flier would feel more at ease with a non-stop.

Yeah, I take Philippine Airlines every time I go. But she has never been out of the Philippines and I don't want her doing connecting flights. Thanks I appreciate the comment

Hi all,

Question for you all!

Approved at USCIS December 19

Arrived at NVC January 19

Assigned case number at NVC January 22.

They say they will be sending it to the consulate by the end of this week.

When I check the CEAC website and enter my NVC case number, it says I need to follow "six steps" and submit a whole bunch of forms and docs to NVC and pay the fees BEFORE they send it to the embassy.. however I was under the impression that NVC simply assigns it a number and sends it directly to embassy without all these steps in the middle.  Then everything else is with the embassy.  Correct?

That text is old and irrelevant to K-1. And, yes, you are correct, NVC assigns the number and forwards the petition to the embassy. Everything else is done through your embassy.

Hi everyone,

I have been in Bangkok since January 12th visiting my fiancee.  She had her interview on the 10th and was granted the Visa.  We received the Visa and accompanying sealed huge yellow envelope on the 17th.  After much emailing, discussions, vacation-time extending, etc., I will be returning to the US on January 31st together with her! :D  PoE:  Boston  1/31/2018

Beyond too happy!!!! :D:D:D:D

We wish everyone here the experience of this happiness as soon as possible.

Thanks again to our supporting cast of wonderful characters throughout this process:  @Trinab80 @AnaMolina @LabOz @johnandrose as well as many others here...

if you dont mind me asking, the date of the visa issued is the day you had the interview right? and 90 days from there is the expiry date?

No problem...the interview was on the 10th, the issue date was the 12th.  However, my fiancee just clarified for me that the expiration date (at least here in Thailand) is 6 months from the medical which she did on the 5th... If I can confuse you more, please let me know...lol... ;)

12th Jan is the issued date in the visa? how many months is the validity of the fiance visa? 90 days or 6 months?

sorry for asking coz i have already booked my interview 1st of march. but i just want to make sure that i get my approved visa before i submit my resignation. and i will still need to render 30 days at work. so most probably if ever i will still stay until April.
