Under Visa Application Type- Select Immigrant Visa

Under Immigrant Visa Case Number- type in you newly minted Case File Number.

Step 3: The Last Steps

Now, you will have one of a few answers to you query. At NVC, In Transit, Arrived, or Ready. "Ready" is the magic word. That means that not only is your case at the Embassy, but it is already entered into the system. After paying your visa fee, you can submit your DS-160 and schedule your interview!!!

On many Embassy websites, you can download your packet 3 instructions and help your fiance prepare what is needed before the interview. These are country-specific instructions. For my fiance's country (Nigeria), the packet was on their website. They also eventually emailed it to me, but I didn't wait for their email since I obtained it from their website. This packet will give you instructions about the medical exam and the police report that is needed before the interview

Some of you may want to be present for your fiance(e)'s interview. Some countries do not allow the petitioner to enter into the embassy for the interview with the beneficiary. Nigeria is one of those countries that do not allow it, but I was present on the property for the interview and he took my passport inside with him to show that I was there!

It is suggested that you take additional evidence to the interview. The embassy will have the copy of your petition and any documents that you sent along with it. My suggestion is that you take proof of your relationship from the time you submitted your petition until now. We took copies of call logs, excerpts of WhatsApp chat logs and additional pictures. Also, don't forget the updated Intent To Marry documents as well as the Affidavit of Support (I-134).

They have this new system now at NVC

 

When you dial (603)-334-0700 - Press 1 for English - Then 7 - they check the case and see the case is in their "New" System and say to call same number and select 5

 

so for the past 3 call's i have made to them I called (603)-334-0700 - Pressed 1 for English and Then Pressed 5.

 

Once the agent comes on the call they ask for the USCIS number then they check their "OLD" system and say your case is in the "New" system then they check there.

 

So select 5 when calling after selecting the language.

 

Also I decoded my NVC case number using the following link and it appears it was the first case assigned today for ISL embassy.

Nope i did not receive a email confirmation from them just called them. So i would say just call and check

they did say to send email to asknvc@state.gov last night, i emailed them and also cc'd nvcinquiry@state.gov, NVCResearch@state.gov

SO i get to the point where the case # for the day is because they haven't "Assigned" me a case number yet so i can't even decode it. Its not like my stuff is in their system.. its just sitting in no man's land

Yup decoding would be beneficial after you get your case number.

Did you try calling today? Try selecting the option 5.

yeah I called and spoke to somoene on option 5 and no case # yet. 

 

I tried decoding and 002 003 and 004 are possible options for me since you're 001... but idk what else to do at this point other than wait

Yes try tonight after 10pm, theres no hold time at night. Also my case got to NVC on the 12th, although they didn't tell me it was there until 17th like yours.

I just called again cuz im impatient and the lady said its there for sure but its not in their system and it can 2-4 weeks from the date it was received to get a case # which i think is ####### cuz people get case #'s the same day or the next day but I'll play the game and try again around 10 tonight.

Me too I am almost calling 3 times a day now... uscis assured me they sent my case to NVC, NVC claims doesn't have, today is 7 weeks since my NOA2 so I'm desperate! i always call and go for ext 5 should i try ext 7??
