Call NVC tomorrow and ask for a “status update” to be emailed to you.

That will have all of the info you need to give to Knightsbridge.

Recheck the CEAC.gov site with your LND number and if it says “ready” you can fill out the ds160, the readiness form and then book your appointment if you have all of your necessary documents.

Pring out your interview information and you can take that to Knightsbridge as well.

You don’t have to wait for ready to fill ds160.

Hey all, really happy to see lots of us getting closer to the interview and visa issuance date.  It's encouraging to see lots of cases getting closer to reuniting loved ones to each other.

Has anyone received any letter from the NVC or the Embassy?  I never received a letter from the NVC confirming what the website/telephone people said.  We also haven't got anything from the Embassy even though it's been there for a while.  We've booked our medical, but the medical says we need to present official documents for visa type and case number.  We haven't booked our interview since it seems like we need to present the official mail.

Has anyone got anything physical from them?  Or know what we need to bring?

Thanks so much

I (beneficiary)  got the physical letter about 2 weeks after getting the case number over the phone from NVC and only a few days after my status changed to "ready". I booked my medical as soon as I got my case number, but made sure to book it for a few weeks away to make sure I had everything I needed. You can also fill out the DS160 as soon as you get your case number :)

Quick Question:

Typically, how long is the wait for an interview? If I got approved tomorrow and called for an interview, what time frame am I expecting? 2 weeks? A month?

It depends on your embassy, for me (London embassy) the closest available date was January 31st and that was just a couple of days ago.

Well, eventually you will need to submit other forms, and you will need supporting documents for the I129-F, but to begin with all you need is the I-129F.

You schedule your own interview. Yes, there are appointments at the London Embassy from 1/31 onwards. But your petition needs to show "ready" at the embassy on the CEAC tracker, you have to book your medical first, submit the DS-160 and pay the fee. And THEN you can book your interview appointment.

Thanks so much.  I guess we'll keep waiting for the mail to arrive.  We've been very limited on what we've received from the NVC/Embassy.

Hi just read your post - quick question - I'm at the stage where I've submitted DS160. I'm just awaiting my ACRO police cert to arrive so that I can book the medical and visa interview.

In your post above it mentions paying a fee for DS160? "submit the DS-160 and pay the fee." Is there a fee? I wasn't prompted to do this on the website?

Thanks in advance. Just anxious and wanting to make sure I'm doing everything perfectly.

Sorry, I guess I abbreviated too much! You pay the fee on the next step after the DS-160, when you  fill out the "Notice of Readiness."

Thank you 😊- is this something we get once we've scheduled the visa interview? Sorry for so many questions!

Well, as soon as you schedule your medical, you can go on the embassy website and fill out the notice, and then it takes you through the rest of the steps to pay the fee and schedule the interview.

You'll pay the fee right before selecting your interview date. Once your status changes to "ready" it shouldn't be long until you get your letter with instructions (although honestly it's just your details and a link to go to). Basically you go to the link, create an account, put in your details, pay the fee, select your date, pay extra if you want it shipped to your house. You do all of that in one go and the instructions tell you which visa options you need to check etc.

Also your ACRO police check should only take about 10 days right? I'm still waiting on mine (ordered a week ago), but just booked my medical and interview for a few weeks away and will reschedule if needed.

I'm a bit confused about the notification of readiness and hoping you can help!

Basically, I haven't filled it in. The instruction letter I have sent me to a link that didn't indicate to fill out the notification of readiness. I just had to set up an account, enter my details (including ds160 aa number), pay, schedule my interview. Has something changed? Or should I still fill out the notification of readiness?

All sources I've looked at have said to fill it out, and I don't think any issues could come from doing so, so I would complete it to be safe x
