@JenD @LucyDolly @JGEP  I'm in the same situation with the London embassy - case is marked as ready but I haven't received a letter from them.  How long does the letter take to arrive and can I do all of the above (DS-160, notice of readiness, book interview etc.) before I receive anything from the London embassy?

Thanks!

Yes, you can do all the above without the letter. For the medical, you just need the document from NVC that says your petition was approved and showing your case number.

Got our number today!!!

Just like another member, nothing yesterday but had it today.

*******

also, can anyone going to Knightsbridge please confirm that a screenshot of the ceac page is proof enough?!

it doesn’t have our names on it, just the LND Number and at nvc

Can someone please PM me the letter that they recently got from Knightsbridge if possible? I know some of the requirements of change like the amount of pictures and stuff like that.

Me and you together hun! Today is 240 days for me and my fiance too and the same explanation you got from them, is the same exact one I got from them too. No RFEs or red flags, just waiting to be reviewed. But glad to hear you're going to visit your fiance. I got back this past Monday. I needed those 10 days away from all of this and the U.S. and just alone time wit my bae. You will feel a little better after you spend time with your soon-to-be. Hopefully we'll hear something before the month is over...hopefully!

I'm at my wits end. I think after I visit I will have some more hope. I feel helpless and like our case is forgotten. After I get back I really do hope there is good news waiting.

You also didn't get any rfe or anything? I know Trinab and Maria are waiting at case received but others got rfes right?

I could not agree more with this. Our lawyer is frakking useless. Rude all the time. Always replies to our emails but never answers any of the questions we ask. Why frakking reply if you’re not gonna answer what we asked? It makes me so mad. The emails we received from NVC about our case always shows NVC cced him but he has yet to even acknowledge to us that he has received such emails. The one time he said something even remotely related to immigration he had confused us with another client and sent us a list of steps for spousal visa and not k1. We simply asked what are the next steps and he flats out lists spousal steps without even saying they were for spousal visas. It wasn’t until I checked this website that I found out all the steps on that list were not related to our case. Rude and unprofessional beyond belief.

Sounds like we have the same lawyer! This sounds like EXACTLY what my fiancee and I are going through! Minus the steps... My lawyer just totally ignored that question when I asked. If it wasn't for the folks in this group I would be so lost and given up already.

Nope no RFE or anything. When I spoke to a tier 2 officer, he said he didn't see any pending RFE or red flags. He said the officer's desk my petition is sitting on at this moment has 45 days from my service request response to make a decision. That was Jan 4 so we'll see

OMG !  IM  at a loss for words and i fear i may have made a terrible mistake.....When i filed the i-129f  my fiancee had 14 months left on his passport... NO PROBLEM...FAST FORWARD 10 months to our interview being  scheduled for jan 29 and hes only got 4 months left in his passport.....so he went and renewed it so that he could take to the interview the new passport with more than the six months required remaining for the visa. But......the fees paid and the medical vaccinations are all listed under his OLD passport number..(i had no idea that changes)...What are the repercussions for his current valid  passport number NOT matching the passport (old one) used on all forms filled out with USCIS and the embassy in connection with this k1 visa?   The interview  fee  is tied to passport number and their websites says if it dont match  you forfiet that fee...i can pay the fee but im worried that all the USCIS forms will be invalidated because  its a NEW passport number issued at renewal. PLEASE HELP! IDEAS?

You guys should put some reviews on those lawyers seriously.

We are all waiting to see you guys move forward. Finger are all crossed for someone to nudge that adjudicator to finally pick up those files!

Hmm that is a little more complicated, did you try to contact embassy and medical place just in case?

no i haven't contacted the embassy for fear of creating a bigger problem, than just showing up with a renewed passport...

He did day one of the medical yesterday  but on day 2 (today)when he was about to receive vaccines, the dr told him he had to wait so they could list his new passport number on the vaccination records... no new fee required  just show up..... My main concern was for the interview. Assuming they have an easy way to adjust passport numbers in their system as they are renewed,  i dont know if 3 days in enough...guess i better call the embassy ....hope its not a can of worms on an otherwise smooth but long process.

It depends on how long your petition takes to get to NVC. Our NOA2 was Nov 8, NVC received Dec 22, Consulate (London) received Jan 8, booked first available interview slot Jan 29. So, that's 82 days for us.

82 days 😫 wow. This timeline just doesn't make sence what are they doing.

Thanks for the heads up.
