Rarely. If they are doing their job properly they will go through everything the first time.

At least you now know your case is not in a black hole.

This is good news

What ever you send them back be sure to make a copy of it and send via delivery tracking so you can monitor that it made it to the USCIS.

Hello everybody!

May 22nd here, our status just changed, we got a RFE, so now we have to wait until my fiance receives the letter to see what they are asking for and provide it as soon as possible, I hope it is an easy one.

I really don't know, why the took that long to send a RFE, but it is what it is and to be honest I feel happy that at least the touched the case and we can move on in the process.

I will keep praying for all of you that haven't had an answer yet.

I can't believe they sent an rfe.... do you have any idea what can it be? 

 

I actually came here thinking you would say you got approved.. can't believe them sending an rfe at this point.

I have seen that many people have had RFE for the letter of Intent, so I am thinking maybe that could be our case, we didn't know about that

Ahh possible. Try making one and sending to the petitioner then just in case so it will be ready to send if that's the one they ask!

Now there was a lot of debate over that but I heard lots of people who did scan and it worked.

Well finally an update here.

We were EARLY May filers.

It took a good 6 months for NOA 1

NVC number took all of 8 days back then

After that came her interview.

Due to my prior past petitions it was held up at the Embassy in Manila.

Well 2.5 months after interview here visa went from , READY, Application Received , Admin Processing and the day after AP it went to ISSUED.

Still can't believe it 8.5 months.

Me too, @Trinab80, and @TeeSam are all still waiting. My fiancé is from The Gambia. I just calculated and I’m at Day 246, but my response was waiting Security / Background Checks. I am clean never been arrested or even have a parking ticket. I have even worked for the government over 10 years. He has police clearances from the only two countries he has been. So I just don’t understand 😥. I filed a inquiry with the Ombudsman but I will continue to sit and wait.
