So I have received another email from uscis ( two emails ) and both are not a good answer. Is anyone have to deal with this crapy nonsense. I am getting a bit frustrated with the answer I am getting from both nvc and uscis.

Happy New Year to you sis from another miss! Glad to hear you're still around. I'm actually flying out Friday morning (can't wait) and will not return until the 15th. Saturday is my birthday and I need a lift in moral and spirit so I will be with my love.

 

I put my inquiry too on 12/26 and on 12/27 it updated and said it has been assigned to an officer for response (ha, what a joke). I'm done calling USCIS because they seem to get more rude and nasty and I'm not beyond over this mess! The inquiry said I should hear something back by 1/17 and Tier 2 told me last week I should hear something back by 1/12. So, they have until 1/17 and then I'll start with the Ombudsman next! But every week I call I keep getting told mid-January I will hear something!!! Yeah, right!!

 

So, I'm leaving this mess here, gonna enjoy my time with my right lung (my son is my left lung), and be stress free!!! Hopefully, I will have something in my mailbox when I get back (I doubt it). I turn 38 Saturday and I want to enjoy be able to be here another year with a smile on my face and not filled with sadness. I go back to being sad when I get back on the plane without him on the 15th.

Awwwww Happy birthday 🎂 and I’m right there with you they said I should hear something back by 1/10. Lol, this is craziness but hey as soon as I get that approval I’m hopping on the plane ✈️ or who knows maybe before.

News just in .. my fiancé called NVC and my case has been moved to the embassy in London.

Hi everybody, I’ve been gone for a while...trying to find ways to have time “move faster”,traveling etc.

 

I’ve been checking and updating the NOA2 to NVC Time Tracker, and I’m very happy to see that a lot of people are getting approvals, but sad to see that the USCIS/NVC hole we are in is getting bigger and bigger!

We already waited 40 days after NOA2, to call NVC and get treated with anger! that’s insane!

Looks like we should change the name of this from “May Filers” to “NVC Wait” 😫

Calm down, chances are they haven't lost your case because this is how long NVC is taking now. This email is a standard response I've been getting by using the NVC inquiries instead of calling because I don't want to deal with them on the phone. 

Early november approvals are getting their case numbers now so hopefully you'll be getting yours soon.

Good Evening May Filers,

 I finally received my NVC Case# tonight.  My NOA2 was November 11th.  

 

I was in a unique situation as my NOA2 stated that they sent my case directly to the consulate, not the NVC.  Even though I knew that my NOA2 was incorrect, that it should go through the NVC first, I still had to play the game, so I did the following:

 

1. Called NVC twice per week since NOA2 (Always after 8pm=no wait)

2.  Emailed the consulate on 12/8, attached my NOA2 and they responded on 12/11 saying they would not receive my petition, it must go to the NVC first.

3.  Continued to call NVC twice per week

4.  Called USCIS on 12/18 (Right at 8am=no wait for Tier 1 officer) explained the wording in my letter to the Tier 1 and the response from the consulate, and she escalated me to a Tier 2 who called me back in 25 minutes.  The Tier 2 officer took my information, said they would look into my case and email me no later than January 2nd (Today is January 3rd, still haven't heard back from USCIS)

5.  Continued to call NVC twice per week until we hit the 6-week mark and emailed NVCResearch on 12/26, attaching a copy of NOA2

6.  Finally today, I heard back from NVCResearch (8 days later) saying they just received my case and I would hear from them in 4-5 weeks.

7.  I just called NVC and was given my case number.  I checked CEAC and it still says at NVC, but hopefully it can arrive at the consulate by the end of the week.

 

That's my story; It took a little over 7 weeks to get my NVC number.   I hope it helps someone in their journey as just this week my fiancé and I were nearly at our breaking point but this bit of movement is a welcomed relief.

have good news too. NOA2 November 9.called today to USCIS and got information they sent our case on December  22. Later called the NVC,lady told haven't received yet. My fiance told has been sent to the NVC on December 22. She said we have to call back on option  5. We did it: number of NVC, option 1, option 5 got another lady who said Yes! Your case is here, but it take up might to two weeks.anyway it's good news))

Safe travels and happy Birthday! My birthday is tomorrow but with the bad snow storm hitting the tri-state area I guess I will be home and won't get a chance to celebrate until I fly down in 2 weeks to celebrate on her birthday. I was so depressed this holiday season to bring it in yet again without her with me. I think this year made it 100 times worse than before is I really thought we would be almost done the process by now if not already finished. I figured she would be here by Xmas or at most my birthday. Now I have no idea if they even have my case. I wonder if the box with all us May fliers still waiting wss lost and now they're stalling. I rather if that was the case just let us refile for free and expedite it. This limbo we're in is depressing. My fiancee tells me to keep calling but I have no more fight in me when it comes to USCIS. Now I'm just looking forward to flying down in a few weeks although I have no good news to bring 😟
