Well that letter will most likely say normal processing times, or they will end up not sending because you will get your approval first. That's how it always ends up.

I wished you are right :) when did you got your no1

Just call them every day, be prepared for same answer every day ! Very frustrating! I honestly believe you will all hear at the 6 weeks mark.. Looks like they are stringing things out for everyone, they  waited  6 1/2 weeks with ours and then sent it back to USCIS with no explanation !

we are beyond devastated !

You will get good news soon , hang in there ! 😀

😀  thanks... when did you get yours case number and aftr gow many days of approval..omg ..this wait kills .😁

I had my interview 2 weeks ago and my passport is expected to be here tomorrow or Thursday the latest! But tbh, there were huge delays on my case after the interview, usually 10 days from what I heard.

you can get it by mail or pick it up at the embassy, yes. They tell you immediately, they will handle out a sheet with instructions if you need to send them any extra document and in this case I think they will review your petition one last time before approving it. If they keep your passport, it's always a good sign.

about taking your fiance to the i terview, it depends on the embassy and the CO, when I had mine I was alone, but there was a couple and the CO called only the beneficiary, butbw petitioner could at least wait right there with the other people that would get interviewed.

for the steps at NVC, it took a week for me after I got my case number, approximately.

sorry for starting by the last questions to the first lol just the way im reading them

Are you choosing to receive your visa by mail?

let me piggyback on this: What kind of questions are asked during the interview?

First she asked aboit me and the college I attended when I was there with J1 visa, then she asked if that was when we met and how was it, what does my fiance do at work, if he came to brazil and how many times I visited him, if I know his kids andhow old are them, if we have any wedding plans. That was it

oh and I had tons of chat screenshots but she didn't even ask for more proof. I sent only 10 pics with the petition

Yes

We will choose to collect it. Hopefully it will be faster because we plan to fly back to States together 😍

Btw, congratulation for the visa approval!
