Thank you :( Im just wandering what I've done in the past to deserve this bad KARMA ?

I don’t mean to be rude but if you got an RFE it’s because you didn’t send USCIS what they asked for. It’s not karma. It’s just facts. Just send them what they want ASAP and make sure not to miss anything.

That can’t be though because some nov noa2s have reported only a few days to a week.

I just don't understand what this 4-5 weeks (after they receive the petition) is all about. maybe it's the max time for the petition to be at the "ready" state?

I have no idea. It’s something new that only a couple of people on VJ have reported today.

Not always true. Look at the "K1 Visa  RFE Master List 2017 Edition" database in my signature, in the "Already Sent With Petition?" column. I, and many others, have sent all the required information to USCIS. We have determined that RFE's are also sent as a "stall" tactic to buy time for processing because they are so far behind. They do this to state that they "touched" your petition so as to keep up their quotas and such. The NVC also uses this tactic by sending emails such as telling you that the image of your NOA2 Approval (sent to NVCResearch) was "illegible". So you have to send it again and wait another week or so.

This is why I think it is a punishment that I submitted a Case Review .... Within 24 hrs I got a RFE. I know my lawyer  submitted everything. He only does immigration law.

Maybe. an rfe affords them another two or more weeks. anyway you will find out when the rfe comes in the mail. 50/50 chance that it is something you already sent that they "lost" or something the lawyer missed.

The service ticket inquiry has nothing to do with why you're getting a RFE. And paying for a lawyer does not guarantee that they did everything 100% correct just because you paid them. RFEs are sent for different reasons, and until you receive it there's no point in trying to figure out what or why you're getting one. I put in a service ticket inquiry and I'M STILL WAITING and didn't get a RFE. So relax yourself.

Be lucky they touched your case in the first place, fix whatever they ask for and quickly send it back. I'm 220 days still waiting with no RFE or approval...absolutely nothing. At this point, a RFE is a blessing because you can still be in limbo waiting on them to look at your case like I am.

ROC Filing:

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Actually, it doesn't mean that necessarily. Our RFE asked for the same things we'd already provided, and we sent back the exact same things in response ( except for updated letter about circumstance of meeting) and we got approved. There are a lot of people getting RFE for things they already sent.

Ok so I received bad news yesterday checking the USCIS web site. I was mailed a RFE  after 7 months of waiting . I even hired a lawyer so that this wouldn't happen to me !!! I haven't received it in the mail yet, so I have no idea what they will be asking for. I am sooooo discouraged now. Why did they wait 7 months to tell me there is something wrong ? They requested a RFE 24 hrs after I submitted a Case review online. Is this a punishment ??? I guess this will add another 30 days to my wait time. the only good news is that I have scheduled a trip to the philippines to be with my fiancé for 20 days in February. Has this happen to anybody else ???

I got an RFE after 6 months wait, they requested evidence of meeting in person, which I did already send originally. So sent the evidence again. 30 days after they received my response I was approved

So today my fiance called NVC to check in to see if they have received it yet. It's been 6 weeks so nope nothing yet (noa2 11th Nov).

After that call he calls up USCIS to check when they had sent the case to NVC. Of course tier 1 doesn't know whats going on so a callback is required. USCIS then calls back and tells us THEY HAVE NOT SENT THE BLOODY CASE YET.

It's been over a month since we recieved the noa2 and yet they have not sent it yet. The tier 2 lady put in a request for it to make sure it will be sent, and we will supposedly hear back by 12 January.

yup I'm here at Day 219, @JohnAna05823 also in the same boat as all of us. I'm quite sure we've all sent inquires when the processing time was updated yesterday so hopefully we will heard some back quickly. Someone said they received their approval at exactly the 7 month mark Day 221. If I apply that to my case & @Trinab80 since we both have the same NOA1 date, we should hear something by Friday. I can only continue to pray we get approvals soon.

I hope so!  I'm about to leave back to states soon and would love an approval before I leave (today).  I pray for us last few all the time!

I also called last night, and ran into the same thing (almost)! Tier1 was able to tell us that it had not been sent, but requested a callback for further information. The Tier2 representative was pretty confusing, and I think we have an edge case for what happened. I had submitted an inquiry when the whole date change fiasco happened (USCIS posted the wrong date on forms they were processing). Tier2 told me that when my case was approved, someone was also doing the inquiry (sounded like two different people). When this happened, somehow our case wasn't forwarded to a supervisor for final check before being sent to NVC. What I don't understand is that he put in some request and told us we should receive a letter BY MAIL between January 2nd and January 5th, but he wasn't clear on what that letter will state. We already have our approval (which on paper states November 18th, but NVC and USCIS both tell me November 20th, also frustrating). Anyone else ever have something similar happen - the application NOT being sent for a final review? It's been nearly 6 weeks, so the fact that they haven't sent it is super frustrating.
