Ugh you’re the second person today who has reported that 4-5 weeks wait. What is going on? What is that even for? After NVC receives it there’s nothing but assign a number left to do.

People have reported getting emails from NVC after they receive their petition from USCIS saying they have received it and it will take 4-5 weeks to process.

Sorry, I'll fix the timeline in a bit. We're the S & J entry on the spreadsheet, Nov. 9 NOA2, basically right at 50 days.

Can you call to find out what the 4-5 weeks is all about? Are they saying that's how long to send to the Consulate?

Ok so I received bad news yesterday checking the USCIS web site. I was mailed a RFE  after 7 months of waiting . I even hired a lawyer so that this wouldn't happen to me !!! I haven't received it in the mail yet, so I have no idea what they will be asking for. I am sooooo discouraged now. Why did they wait 7 months to tell me there is something wrong ? They requested a RFE 24 hrs after I submitted a Case review online. Is this a punishment ??? I guess this will add another 30 days to my wait time. the only good news is that I have scheduled a trip to the philippines to be with my fiancé for 20 days in February. Has this happen to anybody else ???

That can’t be though because some nov noa2s have reported only a few days to a week.

Lots of people get RFEs after months and months of waiting even years. You’re not an exception.

I received and rfe also after 5 months. take a look at the "K1 Visa  RFE Master List 2017 Edition" in my signature to get an idea on how long it takes from rfe to approval. the thing is to send back whatever they ask for ASAP. there was another member who used an attorney, the guy was useless in my opinion because he made a stupid mistake of missing a question. you hire attorneys to NOT make those kinds of mistakes. i advised him to demand a partial refund.
