I had my interview 2 weeks ago and my passport is expected to be here tomorrow or Thursday the latest! But tbh, there were huge delays on my case after the interview, usually 10 days from what I heard.

you can get it by mail or pick it up at the embassy, yes. They tell you immediately, they will handle out a sheet with instructions if you need to send them any extra document and in this case I think they will review your petition one last time before approving it. If they keep your passport, it's always a good sign.

about taking your fiance to the i terview, it depends on the embassy and the CO, when I had mine I was alone, but there was a couple and the CO called only the beneficiary, butbw petitioner could at least wait right there with the other people that would get interviewed.

for the steps at NVC, it took a week for me after I got my case number, approximately.

sorry for starting by the last questions to the first lol just the way im reading them

let me piggyback on this: What kind of questions are asked during the interview?

NOA1 - May 22

NOA2 - Dec 1

NOA2 Hard copy received - Dec 6

NVC received - Jan 18

NVC Case # assigned - Jan 29

Embassy receives documents (NVC status is READY) - Jan 31

Medical Exam - Feb 21

Interview - Feb 27

long wait due to government incompetence realized in 2 month testing for TB

POE - May 22

We called and asked about delayed they sent a letter stating why case has been delayed but it's been 10 days we have not got any letter yet looks like their mail is also slow like the department

Well that letter will most likely say normal processing times, or they will end up not sending because you will get your approval first. That's how it always ends up.

Does anyone have an idea about my situation right now? I am still waiting for the copy of my NOA2.. We got an approval NOVEMBER 07. The post office sent back our NOA2 to USCIS on NOVEMBER 20. I am waiting also for our case number in NVC, its our 4th weeks as of this moment. Do you think there is an effect if my case status says “Document was returned to USCIS” on getting our NVC case number? Im so worried and frustrated on what’s going on.. :cry::clock:

You mean beneficiary can do?

Yes I've heard it before that at NVC stage beneficiary also can call but needs the info if petitioner too.

Im sure someone will confirm here. Can you check the nvc link in my signature maybe that also has info on it.

I received an RFE on 10/31,  I sent my reply and it was Received at the service center on 11/16 It has been 18 days and I still have not heard anything. Ridiculous!

It is redicilous! Hope you get approved tomorrow or this week. Looks like it’ll also take so long to receive a NVC # after approval.... I am so done with this so my fiancée and I just decided to spend the New Years and whole January together! We’re just done being stressed out 😂😂 It’s been just too long and this is stupid!! Lol

I'm the beneficiary and I called NVC every second day for 6 weeks

they asked my case number, I was given one within 2 weeks of Noa2 , They ask my full name, DOB and the petitioners full name !

Hoping you get your case numbers soon 🙏 Along with everyone else..

Just call them every day, be prepared for same answer every day ! Very frustrating! I honestly believe you will all hear at the 6 weeks mark.. Looks like they are stringing things out for everyone, they  waited  6 1/2 weeks with ours and then sent it back to USCIS with no explanation !

we are beyond devastated !

You will get good news soon , hang in there ! 😀

Hi, May filers!! I'm just waiting approved from RFE received!! It past a week from our status changed to "received request".

Just checking RFE list and I think it takes about 2 weeks to 3 weeks...need waiting time more:(

Hope we get approved before Christmas holiday!!

I know many May filers are still waiting approved without RFE, Wish many May filers could get Approved as Christmas present!!

Still waiting time ( from NVC) continues though... I just want to be freed from this looooong waiting time!!!
