Hi!

We're Jun30 filers, and we haven't got NOA2 yet, but we're hopeful it's going to be within the next month, maybe late January.

Anywho, I'm just thinking ahead. My fiancee, the petitioner, in America, doesn't have a branch of his bank near where he's living now. He opened it back in Norfolk, VA, I believe, whereas now he lives in Elkins, WV.

Is there a way around it? Like, if you told a bank "yo, we're filing for a K1 visa and I need the documents." could they just send them to you?

Thanks ya'll! Stay strong! :D <3

Yup, we had similar situation and it’s ok to call them and ask for what you need. That’s what my fiancé did and they said no problem, we can do this and that and mail it to you. That’s what customer service should be :)

I just did an I-134 and they took 12 months of bank statements with the deposits circled.  My bank is thousands of miles away.  Check with the embassy.  (USC sponsor check with the embassy, not the beneficiary)

Fiannce should be getting bank statements in the mail (or by email) no matter where they live

it is costly to ask for them (like my bank charges $10 a page)

You don't need anything from the bank for a K1 visa interview in London unless your fiancé doesn't have a salary and is sponsoring with only big savings in the bank.

Get a letter of employment from the boss and that's all you'll need with your I-134 in London.

Make sure it says a monthly or yearly salary. The latest tax return would work too. They don't require a bunch of proof in London.

Yeah, he's said that getting the letter from his boss should be no worries at all, and I'll make sure to tell him to put a yearly/monthly salary on it. I'm also telling him to send 3 of his latest paystubs, just as back-up. I won't give them at the interview unless asked.
