Hi everybody!

Our I-129F was approved yesterday. So now we are in the stage that NVC is waiting for receive the I-129F.

I'm going to visit my girlfriend this week for just 5 days. Am I allowed to visit the US during these stages of the process?? Just the idea of being rejected in the Customs and don't see my girlfriend in months freaks me out a lot. I can't wait to see her!!

Thanks in advance for your help

Best regards

Assuming you either have a valid visitor visa, or are from a country with ESTA, or are part of the VWP you should be able to visit.  Just keep in mind each time you request entry (arrive at the border), you will have to answer the questions from the CBP officer so make sure you have the necessary information to prove you do not intend to stay in the US, and that you have strong ties to your country.

Good Luck!

I visited my fiancée during K-1 process and everything was fine. Never been asked any questions, what’s funny not even a reason for entering states. I think all depends on POE, certain officer attitude and a country you are from. Just in case have your returning ticket with you, I also had a copy of my job contract and translation to prove  I’m still working in my country. But as I told you I never had to show anything to the officers :)
