So I entered this country on a bb visa, converted to student visa, then the fso at my school told me I should just do a 13a visa to save myself money every year. My classmate yesterday asked me if I knew if I would then be charged the local domestic tuition rate, or if the school would continue to charge me an additional fee (double)? I think this is a good, valid question, although I think I already know the answer lmao! Anyway, before I go and make a fool out of myself by asking my school, what are my chances of being charged as a local moving forward? Do I have any ground to stand on? Thanks!

My personal opinion is even if you got the 13a you will forever pay non citizen fees.

Just like trying to take probably any test from the Philippines the Professional Regulation Commission  (if I remember the correct name) will not allow anyone who was not born in the Philippines to take their exams like to become a Registered Nurse.  And I looked at taking bar exam in Philippines, you must now basically be a Philippines born citizen.

They just have way too many laws and rules that prohibit outsiders from working or gaining benefits in Philippines.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.
