Hi, so our noa2 arrived . We are now preparing the documents for the next stage for the interview etc. I have my fiancé last 3 years tax papers but they are like 100s of pages long . Also do I need his birth certificate ? I’m a little confused on what to take and the website didn’t help me out haha

You should get your fiance to request tax transcripts from the IRS. They have the same data from tax returns but in just a few pages... USCIS actually prefers them.

Looking at your timeline, your petition has just left USCIS and is going to NVC (National Visa Center). They will provide a checklist of the paperwork you will need to submit.

But basically, you will have to provide proof that your fiance is a US Citizen, that you have seen each other in person at least once in the past 2 years, that you intend to marry within 90 days after arriving in the US, and that you have a genuine relationship. If you haven't already sent proof of citizenship, (birth cert, passport, naturalization certificate or whatever) you will have to do that. You have to provide a letter of intent to marry,

Most people send photos of the couple together, proof of communication (phone bills, chat logs, email chains etc), plane tickets/hotel receipts from trips to see each other, etc.

Also, I assume you're saying that the USCIS website doesn't offer much help. You're right, it doesn't. But if you use the search bar at the top right corner of the VisaJourney page, you'll find everything you could possibly need.

Is your timeline updated?

Just in case, in addition to both citizenship papers and passport(basically whatever you sent them to show the petitioners us citizenship), take a copy of the petition itself too. Even if you send it, they sometimes asks for the things that's already been sent to them :)

Thank you for the list. So when it says one photocopy of each form, that included police records ? As my Japanese one is not allowed to be opened by me it has to be opened By an official
