Texas State ID/SS Card Replacement

Is it possible to get a Texas State ID with just the I-797s with I-485 and I-765 Pending. Completed Biometrics.

 

What about a replacement SS Card?

DPS wouldn't allow my wife to get it until we had the EAD, and denied us again until my wife's social matched her EAD, despite our marriage certificate. They aren't fans of following their own rules, especially with the whole name differences are acceptable with documentation one.

DPS website doesn’t state anything about accepting I-797 though. Is there a link where they say it’s accepted?

No, they will either need your EAD which is a form I-766 or your LPR Card I-551 and the name on your social security card must match whichever of those you give. Plus the usual residency requirements.

You mean the I-765 EAD Card? MY SS Card has my middle name but the EAD and/or LPR Card may not. Would that be an issue?

It says it on page 3, i tried it also but they wouldn't accept it until i got my EAD

 I tried to lol, but they wouldn't look at it. I mean the lady actually tried her best, but the system wanted an expiration date for the document, and since there's no expiration date on the I-797, i guess that just messed it up. They did say they'll contact USCIS and get back to me though. No word yet.

They really need to resolve it since lot of people could be same situation.

UPDATE: They sent me a mail, and said i was good. So i went in and took the written test. I took the road test just now, and passed and i have my temporary with me already.

Postal mail? Did you apply for State or just DL? This with just I-797?
