when to file for citizenship

Hi All,

as previously stated i am planning to apply for r.o.c. in may  2018 next year 90 day before my conditional green card expires in mid August. 

I was planning to also apply for citizenship in Sept 2018 under the 3 year rule but having seen another post recently i am a little confused .

The other post said a person can only applied for citizenship under the 3 year rule (marriage to a u.s.c.) on the 3rd anniversary of the initial 2 year conditional green card being issued ( for me as it was issued in August 2016) so does this mean i can only applied for citizenship 90 before the 3rd anniversary - which means Mid june 2019 or can i indeed apply 90 days before 3rd wedding anniversary  which is sept 2018...

90 days before the 3 year mark of having your greencard, so 2019 for you.

It goes by green card date not when you were married.  So it's 90 days prior to the 3rd year on your green card.
