If you are a Philipines citizen then the 6 month requirement is not a concern.  The 6 month requirement is for visitors.  You are OK to renew when you are back home

Yes, most countries now require you to have a passport that’s valid for at least 6 months ahead of the date of your intended travel, USA included, so get on that. Should have plenty of time.

For your home country? I don't think so

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

None in Texas, Los Angles is your closet and it's a ghetto airport and a ghetto city

Carry onto Philippines and do it there

Renewing the passport requires a personal appearance at the consulate or an outreach event in the USA.

Will you be close to a DFA office while in the Philippines?  If yes, then renew your passport while in the Phils, DFA has become very efficient (as in speedy) with processing passports.  Asawako did her passport at DFA while we were there, paid for home delivery and expedite had her new passport 2 weeks after her appt.   LBC delivers the passport.

Ya, can you believe it!     But since DFA got the new computer system up and running smoothly they are doing it right.   Even when the country has "non-working" days DFA stays open.

Bureau of Immigration is the total opposite ...  sadly.
