Yeah, you're right. And I wasn't upset or envious at all in this entire process we went through since last year March. That was the first time. 
Every case different, I agree. This person did not take the long way with K1, is not from an ESTA country like me, filed after me... got EAD earlier... everything different and all alright.

But at least the field office could work by date... at least that's what I was hoping. 

Well, jump and carry on. New informed delivery tomorrow, and my case will maybe not used as a coaster for someones coffee mug anymore!  
At least I helped myself out with aggressive gardening and butchered a giant overgrown rose bush lol

So I won't say congrats for now, but I think the fact they are giving you a date sounds promising, considering how reluctant they normally are to do that.

I hope all works out for you two and you can have your wedding ceremony as planned (wasn't that it? Bit off around here ).

How are you, oh wise one??  So great to see you pop up on here!  Yes, I trust no one in this USCIS world so we shall see what happens.  We have an infopass appointment on the 17th so maybe they can confirm what our Senator has told us.

Oh, in a week, good timing. I know your first experience with the infopass and the local office was pretty disappointing, but I know someone that expedited the AP right then and there (though different local office and it was based on a close relative illness), so maybe take all your support documents for the AP with you, and push it if you can and still need to.

That was the plan.  Thanks my friend!  Look at you... interview scheduled.. Must be nice!!! I hope all is well and you are adjusting well to life in the states!

Thank you. Life has its bumps, but we are happy 😃

And yep, unexpected development on my case I heard from last Sunday through MyUscis. On the lookout for the real appointment letter now. Way too lucky when I wasn't expecting it...

Now January 16

Ha ha!  We did too!  Right back to where we started.  Good times.. Soon my check should be in my mailbox refunding the money.  It's so weird because we used to get the emails on Fridays and just one each week.  Today we got 2.
