I was pretty familiar with the K-1 process, but the AOS is just a mystery to me.

we sent our packet in early December. Received notice around 12/15.

My my husband had his finger print appointment on 1/10. We haven’t heard anything since then. Typical?

I did..

Jan 26 - sent in request

Jan 30  - got email to fax job offer

faxed it same day

Feb 6 - Received email saying case is under review (not sure if that means expedition has been approved or not)

have not heard received anything else.. I will call USCIS tomorrow to see if I can get any info..

If this is the current standar timing for expedites it may not make any diference to you.. But maybe yours will get answered faster?  Like you said you never know with USCIS..

Hi,

Until getting an email to fax the job offer, did you check your status online? When did it say smt like "case is assigned to an officer", was it like the same day with email, or like the same day you requested? My request still is not assigned to an officer:( and did you hear any news on your end?

Removal of Conditions

02/06/2021: Filed and package sent

02/10/2021: Received by USCIS

03/18/2021: NOA 1

07/01/2021: Biometrics waived

09/27/2011: Case approved, no interview (K1 visa)

I checked my status every day!! the 30th in the morning it said assigned to officer.. a couple of hours later received the email..  they should answer within 5 business days.. if that timeframe has passed you can call and complaint or even contact the ombusdman.. which is what I plan to do if I havent heard back on Tuesday (I’ve never done this btw)

Live, love, laugh.. and try not to think too much about USCIS

Ohh ok, i was starting to worry:) that's relieving... At the same time, I explained my situation to the congressman as well, and sent my documents.

PD: December 20, 2017

NoA: December 26, 2017

Biometrics: January 26, 2018

On Feb 8, our status changed to "case ready to be scheduled for interview" and an hour ago, it changed to "Interview is Scheduled". Our interview is scheduled next month but we still have to wait for the notice via mail. I'm surprised that it's this fast but I'm not complaining. Hopefully everything goes well during the interview. :)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  We've finally received our interview date!  Still no movement on EAD/AP, case is still in it's initial 'received' status.  I suppose it serves little to no purpose at this point -- anyone know if it's best to just wait to obtain driver's license, etc after the interview when the green card is in hand?  I'm assuming the drivers license will be set to expire in one year based on the EAD expiration?  Hope you all have updates soon!

Since AOS is up to local offices' work loads, I wouldn't compare it to other timelines that doesn't belong to the same local office. Mine changed to "ready to be scheduled" in the end of January, but I am still waiting, and I think I will wait for a long time since I am in CA, and local offices in CA are very busy:( But, of course we will never know, and I hope you will hear smt soon;)

I totally understand that.  I just meant someone with similar dates to mine has movement so hopefully I will too.  We honestly could care less about AOS.  My husband just wants to work and be able to go home to see his family.  :)
