Like I said, I got my responses from other forum, people gave me helpful info. You two are continuing to try to convince yourselves you know what you are talking about. Any more unnecessary replies that try to insult me is simply disrupting forum.

Not once have either of us insulted you.

Not once.

But if you feel you got the answers, by all means, go for it. We are not saying may not qualify. I just would rather you not abuse something that you don't need.

Btw, I literally, and I mean literally, know a website where the members agree that the world is flat. You can always find something you want to hear on the interwebs.

Yeah, you need to read again then, with understanding. I guess admin can have a look because I reported the inflammatory posts. I don't have time to continue to talk with some hateful people online.

I believe everything we stated were facts.   Some people can't handle the truth.  Since, as you stated, you have the information you needed from another forum, you can request the moderator to close this thread.

I checked with my local office and you are wrong. You can take your bad advice somewhere else. Maybe it is YOU who can't handle the truth? I am requesting this post to be closed.

Wow, so much judgement and hate in your response. I am a taxpayer, and I see it pains you that you will have to pay for people in need.

we all are taxpayers, honey. you said you have means to get insurance but what to use the medicaid as a secondary option. That says to me that, I will keep my money and mooch off the govt even though I can afford my own..

The I-864 Affidavit of Support is a contract between a sponsor and the applicant that is required for some immigrant visas. In this contract the sponsor agrees to provide financial support for the applicant until he/she becomes an American citizen or can be credited with 40 quarters of work (usually ten years).

This is dependent on state and income

for instance, in states of Georgia and TN you can not get it unless you have a dependent child

there is always help when there is a child in the house (under 5) like wick for cheese and milk and eggs and medicaid for them (if in the low poverty group)

best advise is go to department of social serives and ask to apply

you may think others here judge but wait till you go and apply

telling all your personal information to a social worker is  harder than hearing things here
