I have a question about the interview. Do they ask the question exactly like it's on the USCIS website or not?

I just watched a video on You Tube about the interview, and a question asked on the video was not part of the flash cards. I noticed too that some questions were asked in a different way from the flash cards.

I'm just trying to figure out what to expect from the test.

The questions are exactly like the ones in the handbook given out during fingerprinting, and I guess the USCIS website as well.

Hi all,
Updating my interview timeline. Also sharing my interview experience from today.

My application was submitted online. I went to the interview with original documents and some photos as additional supporting documentations (filed based on 3 years marriage).
The office in San Jose is very understaffed (This was verbally expressed to one of the applicants that got his interview cancelled at the time when the interview was supposed to happen).
I was called half an hour later than the scheduled time by an older gentleman (early 60s maybe) that compared to everyone else who works there (that I encountered), was not very pleasant and polite (he literally called my number and started walking to his office yelling "follow me!", even without seeing who I am)
The interview itself was fine (generic yes/no and bio questions). The thing that was unusual was his competence to operate the software system required to complete the case. He kept complaining how nothing responded to the actions he was taking. He even complained that he had to go back and change that i actually have selective services number (he never asked about it, i gave it him because he mumbled something about selective... (mind you this is all uploaded electronically).
After the civic and English portion of the test he explained that he will take a look at my supporting documentation and if he is "sattisfied" he will approve it. I nodded and said that I understand the process. He was reviewing the documents that were in electronic format. He opened a file and said "What is this? - Oh it seems like a back of your driver's license" I had no idea what he was looking at and confirmed that i do have that in the uploaded files. So this continued for the next 3-4 files where he always started with "What is this?". He also said he doesn't need the original documents when i offered my husband's birth certificate. So i got the message that he doesn't want anything from me at that time. He acted surprised when he found that I have selective services letter attached there, which just showed me he never looked at the application prior this.
Somewhere in that process he stopped to explain to me that its difficult to make a decision especially for gay marriage when there is no children involved. In that case he needs more supporting documentation to be able to make a decision. I nodded again and said that i understand. So he started typing something. I thought he was still reviewing the files (I have quite a bit of files attached). When he finished he gave me a paper that stated , decision could not be made at the moment and that more supporting documents are needed. When I asked what else is needed he responded with mortgage and will and tax returns. I responded back that i have all of that uploaded and he simply said it's not there and he could only see one photo of us (i have definitely more than 10). He explained that this was sent to him by another officer and thats all he has, so I guess they "filtered" it. 
I would understand if it was paper application but some files in digital format lost? I understand this is a process but i feel this has nothing to do with lack of documentation. The officer was clearly cranky and annoyed. His every second word was "shoot" and "rats" when he seemed to make a mistake with something (or simply the software platform was not behaving as he wanted). I really want to believe that the lack of experience with online applications was the reason for this outcome and not that this marriage is a gay marriage as he stated.
So this Monday I am sending the same documentation in paper format (because literally more than enough documents are attached there - basically everything he stated he needs is there). I am just confused why he didn't want any documents from me at the time of the interview (That would have saved us both time, if that really was the problem)
Hope no one else gets their process delayed by something stupid like this.

He even complained that he had to go back and change that i actually have selective services number (he never asked about it, i gave it him because he mumbled something about selective... (mind you this is all uploaded electronically).
After the civic and English portion of the test he explained that he will take a look at my supporting documentation and if he is "sattisfied" he will approve it. I nodded and said that I understand the process. He was reviewing the documents that were in electronic format. He opened a file and said "What is this? - Oh it seems like a back of your driver's license" I had no idea what he was looking at and confirmed that i do have that in the uploaded files. So this continued for the next 3-4 files where he always started with "What is this?". He also said he doesn't need the original documents when i offered my husband's birth certificate. So i got the message that he doesn't want anything from me at that time. He acted surprised when he found that I have selective services letter attached there, which just showed me he never looked at the application prior this.
Somewhere in that process he stopped to explain to me that its difficult to make a decision especially for gay marriage when there is no children involved. In that case he needs more supporting documentation to be able to make a decision. I nodded again and said that i understand. So he started typing something. I thought he was still reviewing the files (I have quite a bit of files attached). When he finished he gave me a paper that stated , decision could not be made at the moment and that more supporting documents are needed. When I asked what else is needed he responded with mortgage and will and tax returns. I responded back that i have all of that uploaded and he simply said it's not there and he could only see one photo of us (i have definitely more than 10). He explained that this was sent to him by another officer and thats all he has, so I guess they "filtered" it. 
I would understand if it was paper application but some files in digital format lost? I understand this is a process but i feel this has nothing to do with lack of documentation. The officer was clearly cranky and annoyed. His every second word was "shoot" and "rats" when he seemed to make a mistake with something (or simply the software platform was not behaving as he wanted). I really want to believe that the lack of experience with online applications was the reason for this outcome and not that this marriage is a gay marriage as he stated.
So this Monday I am sending the same documentation in paper format (because literally more than enough documents are attached there - basically everything he stated he needs is there). I am just confused why he didn't want any documents from me at the time of the interview (That would have saved us both time, if that really was the problem)
Hope no one else gets their process delayed by something stupid like this.

Sorry to hear about your experience.  IMO,  all applicants are "paying customers" and should be treated with respect and all immigration officers should behave in a professional manner and treat everyone politely.

 

My IO was okay, but during the fingerprinting process, the lady who took my fingerprints was curt and rude, did not even smile and acted like I was a nuisance (to think there were only about 10 people in the waiting area but I waited an hour to be fingerprinted).  Anyhow, I was shocked to see my Naturalization Certificate photo was the one taken during the fingerprinting process and in it, I literally look like they took my photo while I was being booked into jail (a mugshot).  Even the lady who took my passport application agreed, when she saw my certificate.  LOL.  Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Update on our case - if someone could add it to the table for me, that would be great (e-filing section):

 

I don't recall ever receiving an e-notice that we were in line for scheduling, but our interview was scheduled on 2/28/18 for an interview date of 4/12/18. HOWEVER, because of a combination of work and family travel plans, we requested that the interview be rescheduled until after June 8. They sent us a new scheduling letter on 5/3/2018, for an interview date of 6/11/2018. She PASSED the interview, and is now waiting to hear back about the oath date. They approved our I-751 on the same day.

 

I'm not sure how you want to show that on the table - it doesn't matter to me. My signature shows a few more details of the process.

 

By the way, rescheduling the interview was no problem. A little scary, because they just sent us an "interview canceled" letter, then waited to reschedule the new one until five or six weeks before our requested date range. But they didn't seem to mind at all, or think it was any big deal.

Removal of Conditions:

2016-09-27: I-751 removal of conditions petition sent (with fee waiver request)

2016-09-30: I-751 petition delivered to California Service Center

2016-11-01: Informed in USCIS customer service call that they had no record of receiving our petition, but that it might still be languishing somewhere in fee waiver limbo

2016-11-01: Filed I-751 again, this time with payment check instead of fee waiver request (sent Priority Express)

2016-11-03: Date on I-797 Notice of Action (received 11/7)

2016-11-09: USCIS mailed out denial of our original fee waiver request, with denial letter dated 2016-11-02

2016-11-19: Biometrics appointment notice issued, for 2016-12-07 appointment

2016-11-26: Second biometrics appointment notice issue, for 2016-12-16 appointment (see this thread)

2016-12-07: Biometrics appointment. Allowed to complete biometrics despite mix-up on their end (again see this thread), but some people had to come back for second appointment date.

2018-05-01: Notice that our case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO

2018-06-11: Approved after N-400 interview in Portland, OR (they seemed to be waiting for that before bothering with it)

 

Citizenship:

2017-12-11: N-400 Application for Naturalization submitted online while still waiting to hear back on I-751, received same day

2017-12-15: Biometrics notice

2018-01-04: Biometrics completed, on appointment date (Portland, OR)

2018-02-28: Interview scheduled for April 12 in Portland, OR

2018-03-01 (approximate): We sent in a letter requesting that the interview be rescheduled to after June 8, due to combination of work and family travel plans

2018-03-07: Notice that our April 12 interviewed had been "canceled" (pending rescheduling, but the letter didn't actually say that; officer at InfoPass later explained that interviews aren't scheduled until five or six weeks before the interview date, so they were waiting until closer to our requested rescheduling window)

2018-05-03: New interview scheduled for June 11.

2018-06-11: Citizenship interview - approved!
