It is all in the 100 questions. What is religious freedom? How many senators? What ocean is on the east coast? I can't remember the other 3. As soon as you answered 6 of them correctly, they will stop. BTW, its all modernized. They won't have a piece of paper to write your answer.

Thanks for sharing. Just curious though to know if they don't have a piece of paper to write your answer how do you answer it?

It's all computerized. She asked me questions directly from the computer monitor (which you can't see) then she typed my answer for each question. I think they are trying to reduce paper consumption.  The only paper I encountered was the reading and writing portion.

You are welcome. Did the IO ask for the passport photo?

No, she didn't. On the way there, I thought, if the IO ask me for a passport photo, I will drive quickly to the nearest Walgreens which is 5 mins away.

Im not sure if everyone knows it but it seems that every time you receive a mail from ELISdonotreply@uscis.dhs.gov , the old USCIS website gets updated but the new one remains the same.

The new website send an email either the same day or in next few days.

I have been noticing this pattern through the N-400 process.

I just got an email from the email and checked both USCIS pages and found the old one states that my Oath ceremony notification has been emailed and the new website hasn't changed yet.

First time poster... here's my timeline:

Dec 18, 2017: filed N-400 online, based on 5+ yrs of permanent residency
Jan 10, 2018: Biometric Appointment

Mar 12, 2018: Received notice for interview

Apr 16, 2018: Interview

Apr 16, 2018: Oath Ceremony

The interview was very short.  Only documents I had to show were passport and green card.  I had plenty of other documentation with in a file folder, though.  Officer was very friendly and professional (as was the rest of the staff at the Portland, OR office).  I was offered to join the oath ceremony scheduled for the same day, so I literally was a US citizen about an hour after passing the interview.  Glad I had dragged my wife to the USCIS office, so she ended up witnessing the ceremony.

Thanks to everyone for sharing updates. I have been following this thread since the day I filed, and the progress made by others has been encouraging. I did not expect to get through the process so quickly.  Best of luck to everyone still "on route" to completion!

Congratulations. Thanks for sharing your experience. The weather has been so nice in Portland. Have fun, regards.
