My grandfather who was a USC started a petition for my father way back but he died before the approval so my father did not pursue the application. USCIS sent him a notice of termination last 2014 and he never replied to their letter so Im thinking his application was destroyed. I am currently petitioning for both my parents. We checked NO to the question ‘Did u ever apply for a visa’?, on my father’s Ds260. Im thinking he never did because the application was automatically revoked due to death of USC (my grandfather). Did we do the right thing? Or should we have said Yes to the question? My parents will have their interview this coming December, and it is late in the game to even change the response.
