UPDATE!!

Scan date: October 31st

I just checked the ceac website and the status has been changed from "submit documents" to "at NVC" does this for sure mean I have a case complete?? I called the NVC but I was on hold for a very long time. I will try to call again tomorrow. Does anyone know of this means I have a case complete for sure?? I can't wait until tomorrow to find out! I am so anxious!

I believe it does since that’s what everyone says, but they also call to confirm.

Congratulations 🎉

Hey all,

case was approved by uscis on 10/27/17 California. Called nvc this morning and they have yet to receive it. Anyone else having delays? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi!

I believe it depends on your USCIS Service Center. For example, mine at TSC took a whole month after approval to be sent to NVC. And even after this, NVC may take a couple of days to generate a Case Number and Invoice Number.

Some people are lucky enough to have their case at NVC after a week or so. It's best for you to ask users from CSC that are already at NVC stage to know how long it took for them.

Yes I was approved on 14th November and I telephoned yesterday. I was told it will take six weeks for NVC to receive my documents and provide me with the invoice numbers etc.

Hi All,

This is my first time posting. My petition for my husband was approved on October 30, 2017, and was sent to the NVC on November 29, 2017.

How long should I wait before I start calling the NVC? I am aware that they say give them 6 weeks before calling, as it could take this long for them to receive the file. However, as I have been browsing through some timelines here, it doesn't seem to take nearly that long.

Thanks!

Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone and thanks for the ton of info that you guys provide.

I sent my package to nvc on 10/17. And they said that it was received on 10/19

I called again today and they gave me the usual answer of within 11 weeks.

I asked if there was any problem for filing the DS260 on 10/20 and they said that it was ok.  Problem is that i never received any mail or email for that so called scan date.  Im kind of nervous now.

When I check the status online it still says to submit package I have 3 cases by the way for my wife and 2 step kids.

How long does it take for NVC to generate an Invoice number and for us to provide contact info to them from the day they received our packaged from USCIS?

Is DS-260 different from providing them contact info such as email over the phone?

Hello everyone! We have submitted all our documents to the NVC on October 25, according to FedEx, it was signed for and received on October 27, which is a bit over 5 weeks ago. Our online status says: 'At NVC'. I was wondering, has any of you tried to call NVC about the status of your case? (I am the Beneficiary, my husband always had to call the USCIS because I was not allowed to ask him any questions). I was on hold with them forever, and then they said: you are not the US citizen so we cannot answer your questions. So I kind of want to avoid that with the NVC :-) Thank you!
