@LeslieR just called and found out our new SD is Dec 28th. They say 11weeks countdown starts again because they look over mail in order, no matter if you have sent bunch of papers or just one paper. From our 1st SD to Checklist was exactly 5 weeks, so praying to God to hopefully we will have CC in another 5 weeks🙏🏻😌

usually within 5 weeks after 2nd SD. Good Luck

My second scan date is November 28th and my case is finally under review as of today; 2 different reps gave me that info today. I guess I can look forward to a CC anytime now

We have the same SD. Hopefully mine goes under review soon too.. called today and the lady said it was still awaiting review, explained to her our situation and she talked to a supervisor and said they will try to finish up the process quickly and to call back next week. She said hopefully I will hear good news soon. Even with holiday season, the customer service people are still nice, I was so scared to call them lol!
Hope we all hear something soon...

Hello everyone,

we were approved on the 21st and it said on the USCIS app that it got sent on the 28th. I haven't called yet but I will by the end of next week to get my Case Number and IIN and hope to get it as soon as possible. Now i have a few questions even after reading the NVC Wiki like 20 times just to double check:

1.What's the difference between the tax reports and W2? Do we need to send both of them or is W2 enough? What about pay stubs, my husband basically gets one for every paycheck, how many of them should we send?
2.Also: which I864 should we use? There are so many of them. My husband is a US citizen and he meets the poverty guidelines so we are thinking to file the "normal" I864. Is that correct?

3.It said on the wiki that we should give the operator over the phone both of our email adresses. I thought they would have them from USCIS

4.What exactly is a SCAN DATE and why do I need it

5. So the forms and the fees are paid online but the AOS and IV packages are sent by mail right?

6. Will NVC contact me (the beneficiary) at all?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I read so many informations and I just want to double check and make sure we get everything right.
I'd thankful for every thought and thank you in advance.

Congrats!!!

1) Tax reports are the IRS copy you get when your spouse filed the taxes of that year, whereas W2 is the copy given out by the employer of your spouse given to him. If he can get Tax transcript from IRS, that will be the best one. If not, he needs both copy of Tax return filed and W2. Providing pay stubs will be good to showing the current income. If he can provide 3 months of it or 6 months of it. I am sending 3 months of it.

2) If he meets the poverty guidelines and he is the sole sponsor for you and you are the only person he sponsoring, then he can use I864 ez, thats an option and have less pages, but he needs to meet 3 criteria. He can use I864 normal one.

3) i did not gave them either. we both got emails from NVC.

4) Scan date is the date when they scan your packages you sent to NVC to their system. From the scan date, the average case complete is 6 weeks. They say 6-11 weeks

5) DS-261, DS-260, AOS fee and IV fee are done online. You send AOS and IV packages by mail

6). So far in our case, they did not contact benficiary. I guess they going contact the agent you choose when u fill out DS-261

I hope this clears some doubts. feel free message me. I am in NVC stage. Just paid IV fee now waiting to DS-260 open and then sent our package
