Hello everybody!

First time posting on this forum. Our package was received by NVC 11/27/17, SD is 11/29/17. We actually have our case expedited so our Senators team told us if we do not hear anything by mid-December to contact them. Hoping we get a CC ASAP and then our case will be expedited for interview process as well. We did this because I was overseas and pregnant and wanted the husband to be here for the delivery. Had to come back alone though due to political situation in Pakistan. Here is hoping that he is here before baby comes!

Good luck to everyone, the end is so near and its such an exciting time!

The wife has finally got her interview 12/18/17, and we were told to go to this website https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ and then setup a time for interview process and register new applicant.  We did this part fine, but for some reason, when it came to getting the kids placed in, the section for family members doesn't work, so we try to add them under another e-mail address, except when we do, it automatically places them under apply for U.S. Visa in Algeria....they are from Taiwan so this makes absolutely no sense.  We've tried calling, get placed on hold then automated machine says goodbye and hangs up after 30 minutes of waiting.  We did this twice...We've even tried to change everything to where it says Taiwan, yet it still shows Algeria.  Has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it?  It's become very frustrating.

Hello All

My case i130 was approved by the USCIS on October 25, and I keep calling the NVC they haven't received anything

Any idea how to expedite the file transfer?

sadly there is no way to expedite the transfer.  I've been using an attorney for this process as well just to see if they could do something, however it seems there is not.  Once it's there you should get an e-mail if you had setup for that option, or go to their website and look it up, however you'll need the new case number as it changes from the one USCIS issues.  It took several weeks for them to get my paperwork for some odd reason.  Also, note if they need further information they will e-mail and send a letter.  Sadly even if the information was already correct like how mine was, you still have to send something or they will not continue the process.  When you try to call them to get a status update, they will not have one from my experience.  Also, although it has a priority date, it still took an extra month on top of the 2 months it already took for them to look at it, to even look at something new, which was the same information, except stating they messed up and need to fix the issue.  Not sure how it's been for everyone else, but USCIS took 6 months to do my case, as they transferred from one spot to another to balance the workload, and then roughly almost 6 more months for NVC, but once that process finished, it literally took 2 weeks for the date of the interview.  From there you have to apply at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ for registration and some other thing, which seems if you need to add children it will not do it, or everything for some reason is marked as another Country which will not change even after updating everything.  Unsure if there is a fix to that as I've tried calling, e-mail, and going to their feedback page.

Hey, so the Senators office sent them an email and they sent an email to the Pakistan location. Pakistan location said they will expedite case on their end once NVC has looked over all documents (which is a good thing because we did not want to deal with sending paperwork back and forth to Pakistan if needed). NVC confirmed to expedite case via Senators office, then after CC Pakistan will also expedite.

Husband is from RKY.

I’ve actually never heard of that. Usually when you have an expedite, they send all documents to the consulate/embassy right away. (That’s where it gets expedited) and they have an interview date for you ASAP.

NVC is averaging at 6-7 weeks, currently. So by mid December, you would have a CC anyway without this sort of expedite. Good luck!

With it average 6-7 weeks, we could not take the risk, this way we will know something by December 15th hopefully. I found it weird that they requested NVC to look over documents first but Senators office said that is more beneficial because otherwise it could take longer to send documents to Pakistan and then send any extra documents if they required them! Hoping we hear back soon though. Getting help from the Senator has helped a lot since our case was in Nebraska, the center of doom .

Hello NVC filers!

I'm joining in the thread since I just got my NVC case # and the IIN. As recommended by a few users that are already at NVC stage, I tried to log in into CEAC but a message stating that my case is "not available for further process" yet appeared.

I knew quite a lot of members successfully managed to do step 1 (choose of agent/form DS 261) as soon as they got their case # and IIN, so I called NVC later today again; and this time the lady on the phone mentioned that she could see on her screen that our case was with a supervisor "for reviewing". Has anyone heard of something similar? Do you have any idea of why could they have picked the case for "reviewing"?

According to the operator, due to this I would not be able to access CEAC or work any further on our case. She also mentioned that a review usually takes up to 6 weeks, and that within that time or less we would be receiving an e-mail or mail notification.

P.S. NVC has not sent our instructions/welcome letter yet, my wife called NVC and was able to get the info over the phone. They received the case from USCIS on 11/23, and generated the case # and IIN just today (12/01).

DPK
