More than enough, my dad was my joint sponsor, and we sent in his w-2, pay stubs, the letter, and passport.

Did you get a case complete? I thought you had to send either tax return with W-2 or tax transcripts. And if the joint sponsor is married & files jointly, then don't they usually request the spouse to fill out form I-864a? I'll be sending docs in January most likely & my dad is also the joint sponsor.

Hello everyone,

After we received approval from USCIS for the petition for a spouse, who will NVC send the package to? The petition or the beneficiary? WHo should be on the lookout for the package of next step?

Whoever is handling all the paperwork should have his or her email on file with NVC inorder to get notification.

It is better to have notifications sent via email instead of waiting for them to come through the mail.

It is generally more convenient to have the petitioner handle everything since that person is probably in the US and can more conveniently send any documents requested by NVC.

Of course, required documents like birth certificate, police certificate, etc would need to be sent by the beneficiary to the petitioner.

Hi everyone!

I sent my NVC packets (AOS and IV) paid fees and submitted DS-261.

My scan date is December 2, 2017.

They said to wait about 11 weeks.

But I see some are getting quicker.

Does anyone else have a similar scan date? And does anyone know how long it may take to get CC?

Consulate: Egypt.

11 weeks is the more conservative estimate.

However, assuming that there are no back logs and that you do not receive any checklists, it should take about 6-8 weeks.

Has anyone had to send an email to NVC for them to research why they haven't received your approved petition? If so, how long did it take to get a response?

Thanks!

Oh dear.. Just give them a call, I left them an email which was in vain. Calling is magic, the answer is right away and effortless. Most vj members have suggested calls, if you want to go through fast, make a call your first priority

Thanks! It's been more than 6 weeks since I received my approval and I am frustrated about why NVC hasn't received it. USCIS has already forwarded my case.

Do you know if your uscis service center mail your package to nvc? If it wasn't mailed you will have to call uscis if and when it will be mailed to nvc. Once USCIS mail your package to NVC it typically takes about two weeks for them to receive it and scan it in the system

Thanks so much for your response. This waiting is agony!

Alguém que tenha sido aprovado pelo texas conhece uma estimativa de quanto tempo leva para enviar meu caso para nvc? Hi everyone

My co sponser is unable to show his tax returns since he file's them jointly with his wife .

He has the following for me to submit:

1. weekly pay stubs ,

2.employment vierification letter ,

3.Social security income letter

4. w-2's

5. Passport copy

Wil these be enough???? Or what else do it need . Please help!!!

Sorry CORRECTION!!! , I did send in the tax returns and my dad also filed jointly with my mother but she wasn't a sponsor so we only send in his information. His tax returns for last 3 years, pay stubs, employ letter, w2 & passport copy. We did get a case complete in less than 6 weeks!!!

That being said, there should be no problem with your joint sponsor sending in his tax returns regardless if he/she is married & files jointly. It's only requesting his information

Hola chicos,

Completé la forma de agente DS-261 hoy. ¿Cuánto tiempo te llevó obtener el AOS y el IV facturados?

Lo aprecio.

It took me just 1 week for the AOS to open and then another week to process and the IV was opened, that process was in 1 day!
