The notice says it was approved and will be sent to the NVC. But that does NOT mean it was physically sent to the NVC on that date. For example, mine was approved on the 16th and got my approval note that the petition will be sent to NVC. However, USCIS online case status was updated that they sent the petition to the Department of state on the 30rd, and NVC received it on the 7th.

Ok, thanks for the explanation, the good thing is that the long wait is over, every other thing is expected to happen in the next 3months!

Hey! Just received the Invoice number and case number this morning, and I have provided our email addresses to the agent over the phone.  How long would it take before we receive DS-261 and be able to start the process by paying fee and choosing agent from the time a case number has been assigned to you?

Hello guys,

How long does it take for NVC to inform you that they have received your AOS, IV package? My package was delivered yesterday to NVC

We got our scan date in about 3 days. Good luck!

You should call nvc, they will likely not contact you about receiving your package

Yeah! Sorry I missed that part of the question. You won’t hear from them, you should just keep calling everyday until they have a scan date :)

I see, they won't e-mail you once they receive your documents? Does the status change online?

Nope. They don’t email you once they receive the documents.

The status only changes once you get a CC. It stays at “submit documents” even after you have.

Hi everyone!

I sent my NVC packets (AOS and IV) paid fees and submitted DS-261.

My scan date is December 2, 2017.

They said to wait about 11 weeks.

But I see some are getting quicker.

Does anyone else have a similar scan date? And does anyone know how long it may take to get CC?

Consulate: Egypt.

Does any of you send your documents with courier service? And if so, do you make them sign for the documents so that you know that they have got them ?

They were sent by normal Post Office in the US, I had a tracking number and I know it was signed for. After that, I called and they said my SD is December 2.
