Any cc's from November Scan dates ?

I am still waiting. My Scan date was 11/6. However, I did see some folks on here that were like 11-2 scan date that got a CC a couple of days ago, so hopefully within the next week or so.

I do know they are finishing up with October. I have a family friend who had a scan date of 10/23 and got a CC on 11/30.

Hi everyone. Our scan date is 28/11. I was just wondering about the Priority Date and if it has any importance for NVC and spousal visas?

would those with older PD get a priority over more recent ones and get CC quicker??

Does anyone know?

As far as I know, USCIS "Priority date" is a tag used only during the USCIS stage of the process. After NVC receives the NVC package (Supporting documents from the beneficiary/applicant + AoS & Financial support documents from the petitioner), they assign the "Scan Date". They use this new tag to place it in queue, and the don't go by USCIS "Priority Date".

Hi,

We received the i130 on Dec1.

How much time should I wait before inquiring for when will the file be sent to NVC?

From my personal experience @ TSC and from what I read from other cases, it takes a full month for them to send the approved case to NVC. And even after this, NVC takes up to 5 to 6 business days to receive it. Then about 2 more business days to assign a case number and IIN.

You are welcome to check my timeline in my signature.

We are getting everything together that we can possibly come up with for the NVC phase. I have seen where some people have included personal statements or relationship timelines, which have been written by the USC. Is this recommended?

Also, I haven’t seen anything saying they were required for the Affidavit of Support, but should bank statements be submitted?  I was planning to submit tax transcripts for the past three years, W2s, pay stubs, an employee letter, and my retirement account profile.  Should bank account info be included?

guys any thoughts on this

Hello there!

My wife also thought that more bona fide documents were needed for the NVC phase, but our lawyer explained that they are not needed since NVC receives the package from USCIS containing that type of proof. Later I read here on VJ that most people confuse this term: extra bona fide documents are requested in case you are using a co-sponsor that belongs to a household of more than 1 people. For example, if you use your father as co-sponsor, his wife would need to provide (hard type) bona fide documents such as marriage certificate, joint bank accounts, etc. And they both would fill their corresponding Affidavit of Support forms.

As for the second part of your post, I strongly recommend to refer to the official NVC website (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/petition.html). Here you can confirm that the Affidavit of Support is a primary requisite for your sponsor, and/or co-sponsor if needed. Additionally, pay stubs, IRS tax transcripts, and W2's are welcomed. For example, in our case, our lawyer highly recommended to submit information from 2014 and on, yet the basic instruction is to submit financial information from the previous year.

I hope I was clear enough, and that I provided a good answer.

DPK

Yes, I am suggesting not to send more bona fide documents, as they are not listed on the NVC official website. I guess you could. There is no way that could hurt your case.
