Sorry for the cross-post, but it kept sinking in OT! ;)

Anyway, if anyone from, say, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC would be interested in a gathering, give a holla here!

Ohhhh, that would be awesome, Rebecca! And Srini and Pras! :)

MD is about a 4-hour drive for me; not un-doable, particularly if we were to make a weekend out of it. Again, locale will probably depend on where people are coming from.

Feb 28/2011 - sent paperwork

Mar 3/11 - received text & email notification - they have it!

Mar 15/11 - text, email, and notice sent - biometrics booked

April 12/11 - biometrics done - I start studying

May - get the letter

June 27 - Interview and oath ceremony - same day

Lifting Conditions

Feb 5/08 - Sent paperwork by USPS - priority

Feb 14/08 - NOA issued

Feb 28/08 - Biometrics letter received for The Bronx Office - have to reschedule

Mar 22/08 - Biometrics rescheduled - LOVE the Saturday appointment!

Feb ?/09 - done!

If time delay OK, another location would be York Fairgrounds (obviously, best time to meet there would be during York Fair, which is in September) in York, PA.

LOL! Pax.

I don't know how many of you know this, but apparently Amtrak has this Metroliner that goes from Baltimore to NYC in 2.5 hours! I had no idea it was that fast...just another idea for getting to MD quickly, if that's where it's being held. It would definitely be the most convenient for me! ;)

June 15, 2005 - Submited I-129F

June 29, 2005 - Received NOA1

July 09, 2005 - Received NOA2

July 19, 2005 - Package 3

August 18, 2005 - Package 4 with the interview date (october 17, 2005 in Rio)

September 6, 2005 - Medical exam done

October 17, 2005 - Interview date APPROVED!!!

December 2, 2005 - Arrived in the U.S.

December 8, 2005 - MARRIED!!!

AOS

December 23, 2005 Sent completed forms for AOS

Jan 2006 - Checks cashed for AOS

Jan 06, 2006 - Received all 3 NOA's

Feb 16, 2006 - EAD and AP approved

Feb 24th, 2006 - Received AP in the mail

March 18th 2006 - Still no biometrics letter, made infopass

April 11th 2006 EAD Biometrics

April 18th 2006 Received EAD in the mail

May 10th 2006 AOS Biometrics after calling 800 number for 2 months, they claimed letter was returned undeliverable by the post office.

May 25th case transfered to California Service Center

June 5th case received by California Service Center

June 14th - Email that a Greencard was ordered (no interview)

June 17th - Welcome letter comes in the mail

June 19 2006 - Greencard arriives in the mail - WE ARE DONE!!!

Sept 2006 - Passed the road test

October 2006 - First job in U.S.

March 2008 - File I-751 - Biometrics taken

Naturalization

Aug 2010
