I wonder if this is the same reason USCIS had been backed up, because of the rush of applicants last year.

But how? Is this bc you got your case expedite?  How can i check that? I keep calling the nvc and i dont get any information. We tried to expedite due the earthquakes but we were denied. 

If you could give us more information it would be very helpful. Seems like people who got case complete in august had their interviews this month. There’s even someone from sept 1st cc who got an interview.

NVC tells us it takes 11 weeks but currently they are taking 6-7 weeks to review.

This is crazy im going nuts and im so pissed... im afraid we wont get an interview thus month or next!!! Its so frustrsting that they cant give you any information over the phone. 

you're looking at Feb/March right now at the earliest

yeah I kinda jumped the gun on that, they said its not actually valid until they generate an appointment letter and there's no telling when that will happen, they have my case but they said its not loaded in the system

its shared with other visa types, they only allocate a certain amount for cr-1

Read the documentation of the NVC. They list if one can or can't bring the petitionar.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare.html has the instructions. Read through it.

I dont understand why they are si backed up if people who got approved a month before us  got interviews for november. Is there a way we can contact the consulate and get answers? Does anybody know??

I've been wondering the same thing and I'm so frustrated because completed cases up until Sept were getting interview appointment dates only 1 to 2 weeks after CC. We have been waiting now 2 months! 

 

If that's the case though hopefully we receive something next week then.
