Trust me, I know how stressful it can be. I've been on this immigration journey for my husband since sept 2015 and now its near the end. Lets pray for a good Christmas gift of interview appointments :jest: lets keep positive thinking!!!

Wow that's a long time! But has your husband been with you the whole time you've been processing or? Because in my case, this month my husband and I have been apart for 1 year and a half now it's so difficult.

But yes we are now near the end and let's pray for an awesome Christmas gift of an appointment! Positive vibes 😊😊❤

Just read on another thread that someone waiting for an appointment in Guatemala with a CC date of September 26th has recieved their email with appointment date for January 23rd...

Okay this is where it gets frustrating as hell like my case was Complete September 25th why haven't I gotten anything?? Also just called and nothing again. Last week someone with CC of Sept.27th was scheduled for Jan 22...

Sorry for ranting but this is maddening.

Ok I have big updates and am feeling very relieved, hope this can help some other people as people have contacted me in the past.

So I had been worried due to my expedite situation, Juarez had my case for 2 weeks already and I had no idea what was going on.

Thanks to info from members who went through this before me, I jumped the gun and signed up on the consulate site that's used the schedule the appointment.

Because of my consulate expedite I'm able to schedule our interview, but I'm supposed to wait for the invitation letter which who knows when it would arrive.

I had seen another VJ member had done the same and had their interview just 3 weeks later, they had the same concern and was able to print out the letter at the information window. My problem is that we're in Mexico City, so our ASC and medical are there.

I called the consulate call center countless times, they are so clueless and most of the time can tell they're reading a script.

Almost every time I was told, they have my case but it isn't loaded yet and to try back, and that my interview date is invalid until I receive the letter.

10 days ago one of the reps opened an inquiry with the consulate asking about it since I mentioned the expedite.

So my predicament, do we just wait? do we fly to Juarez and see if we can get it printed?

Interesting, yesterday morning I missed a call, it was from the Juarez consulate, not the call center, but the actual consulate.

I wasn't able to get through to anyone besides the operator and they said the only way I could talk to someone is if I had a direct extension.

I noticed my ceac status remained the same but said it was updated that day.

Well I had decided to fly to Juarez and try my luck, I'm actually in Juarez right now, and guess what?

I got the appointment letter!!!!!!!

The only thing I don't know is, and I'm sure this would be helpful to other people, is if that inquiry did anything, maybe they generated the letter yesterday?

I did call the call center and nothing changed on their end except they did mentioned there was an ongoing issue with the system, so I don't think the call center is exactly seeing everything that the consulate has.

I saw that today the ceac status stays last updated today.

It actually only took me 5 minutes from arriving to get it, giving myself the hersey squirts the whole time thinking I wasn't going to get anything.

The only thing that sucks is that there aren't flights back to CDMX until 7pm :-(

I found a cool restaurant called Leguru, just a 10min drive away.

Here's to hoping the rest goes smoothly.

I think I saw someone else had a Jan 2nd date here?

on the downside, having a Jan 2nd date means VERY expensive flights.

I am very frustrated to. They have in fact even called some of the people who had their CC in October and November now. I have called like 20 times already to ask how NVC schedules the appointments and they always say that it goes in order by CC date. When I complained to them about others getting their interviews first then me they changed what they had said and told me that every case is different.  I FOUND OUT THAt A COUPLE OF THE PEOPLE WITH INTERVIEWS HAVE THE SAME EXACT CASE. It honestly sounds like they have no type of order at NVC. They have a box where they pull out ramdom names to schedule interviews. I have no type of other explanation.

This is honestly so disappointing!

I just want to say

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

For making this spreadsheet and to everyone who participates. This is a HUGE help in getting some idea of the wait times and figuring out what we have to deal with.

Absolute uncertainty is the worst and now we at least have an inkling of how things might go.

Of course as they say on Wall Street past performance is no indicator of future results... but it's still nice to know.

The same i am thinking. In fact I knew of a case that closed in November and it was already in the interview, today my husband called the lawyer and told him that he  goes to speak with a supervisor of the NVC. I do not even want to call because listening: No, not yet, it makes me sadder.
